My secondary PMD-E team, this time in the Merchant's guild. These guys are moreso comedy relief as opposed to the more story-driven Team Quickwork, but they do interact with team Quickwork and will be important towards my main character's development at some stage.

The team is lead by the Venipede Theodore, a rookie merchant attempting to get established. Unfortunately, he lacks patience, is easily stressed, and is a chronic pessimist. Feeling pressure to compete with his older brother, a successful businessman, Theodore takes the entire thing very personally and does not deal well with even minor setbacks. He often breaks down and curls into a ball when faced with difficult situations, and has to be coaxed back to a clear state of mind. He is also very selfconcious about his small stature, and wishes to evolve as soon as physically possible so that other Pokemon will take him seriously. In spite of this, he insists on dressing in a feminine manner, claiming that he has an 'advanced sense of style'. In spite of these shortcomings, he's intelligent and has a keen mind for strategy when he can think straight, and is a surprisingly adept battler.

Oswald is the current main salesman of the team. A cheery, good-natured chap, he has an amiable affect on people and can be quite persuasive, making him ideally suited to the task of peddling ugly furniture and making it seem attractive. His optimistic personality both clashes and compliments Theodores, allowing him to support his leader when his spirits are down. Hailing from a family of wealthy berry farmers, Oswald had a good upbringing and learned had plenty of time to develop a myriad of semi-uselful skills early on. He has various hobbies and seeks intellectual pursuits, but finds his lack of limbs to often be a detriment. Nevertheless, these skills become useful in a surprising number of situations. He is pure-bred and proud of this fact, often speaking favorably of his family's careful breeding.

Hahahaha oh my god Oswald.  I love the fact he uses his wee wings as little minihands.  That and the infectious 'car salesman' smile - he's also got some cheap unsurance for you to sell as well...mm

And you can probably guess how I feel about Theodore!!!  Of note is that not many people draw Venipede, and all too many are willing to just 'flatten' them out by keeping them in their normal position instead of using neat poses.  That and he's a little bit girly... if he were anthro HOO BOY would Yuzal have eyes for poor little Theo, he desperately wishes Albel had been a Venipede... although pulling on fluttery wings is something he quite loves.

whoops sorry

Super excellent job on the lighting, here.  I -adore- the moonlight and ESPECIALLY Theo's eyes, and Oswald's picture reeks of shady but 'honest' business and has a musty secondhand-sale kinda light and vibe.

Yeah Theodore's habit of standing upright is something he developed because he hates being called 'little' or 'short'. He's girly now, but he'll be a big tall scolipede one day. He'll become much more agressive and...http://i.imgur.com/dhRU1D4.png
Well I guess his personality won't change all that much after all.

As for Oswald, he was inspired by this video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tqJx86xQJQ I imagine this is exactly how he'd sound.

My fetish is antennae wiggling, so I adore that picture a ton.  Bawling Theo!Scolipede definitely helps - it's not often they're drawn with that much -oomph- in their appearance and what they can make of expression, though I am pretty fond of the half-closed eyes they usually have.  Also, little strap-on bowtie.

Literally that is the most adorable position I've ever seen a Scolipede in hahahaha

I also have to make vested attempts not to think of Stan when I hear about Salesmen and such.  Or that one Weird Al song.  It's a rough road, that.
