An awesome badge and gift from my friend Pepper. I got so many comments on this at MFF, it was a real crowd pleaser! The art is so cool and dramatic, and I love the flavour text XD

I wish I knew anything about MtG, so that when people talk to me about the badge, I had anything useful to say, lol. Maybe I'll try it out soon.

Reach= she can block ((fight)) creatures with Flying as they can pretty much attack your life directly unless you have a creature with Reach or Flying in play

she has 2 power ((attack)) and 2 toughness (health)

when the other card Pepper of the East Winds is in play she gets 2 more power and two more toughness so she would basically be a 4/4 creature that can block creatures with flying

the (3) (green mana) cost is to use her special ability which basically can render a creature on the field useless as tapping a creature prevents them from blocking or attacking....its also a paid ability which means you can use it to stop an opponents attack or special ability

You, too, huh? I nearly started squeeing when I saw this card. Ohmigosh ohmigosh ohmigosh ohmigosh! Spixy, in addition to being one of the coolest artists on this thing, is a Magic player, too? I want her to go up against my steam deck! It's my favorite deck, after all.

hehe my favorite deck is no longer useable but it was an old black/blue deck using Marrow-Gnawer, Pestilent Rats and Intruder Alarm/ Death Pits of Rath to make infinite rat tokens and kill anything that they faught......also for major assholery i always had Boomerang/Counterspell on a stick (Isochrons Scepter)

Ooh, you come from my era, too; I started playing the first time back in Tempest/Stronghold days (ah, Fanning the Flames). Put it down for a while, picked it up at Kamigawa block, dropped it until Core 2010. Right now, I'm really digging the Innistrad block and RTR.

Blocking and fighting are two different concepts now. There are spells and abilities that makes creatures fight, even outside of the combat step, and even regardless of flying and reach and such.

Only things wrong with this are just me being a bit nitpicky: should be a legendary creature, and the final ability is in the wrong color but oh well. This is pretty awesome :D

I just got back from Friday Night Magic (the first time I've been there in months) and find this in the new submissions of the people in my watchlist. Strange coincidences.

I just bought into Planechase tonight because of how fun it is on the XBLA game... Gonna see if my best friend is interested in playing it with me. (The Planechase format, that is. I know she'll play MTG with me.)

Thing I hate is this person in the store I play in is a complete asshat about the changes...

"The term 'Dies' and 'When it goes from the battlefield to the graveyard' are two completely different things." Is what he keeps saying, I want to Strangle(root Geist) his Throat (Slitter). >.<

Remember when they got rid of "Bury?" For example, instead of "Bury target creature," it became "Destroy target creature. It can't be regenerated."

Hmm ability ought to cost 1 green and 2 colorless imo.
Or a green and a colorless, but only affect flying creatures.

Well, if you make it cost just a tad cheaper it would cause the rarity to bump up to rare, if you look at the cost, it doesn't tap. Generally tappers have 0-2 mana cost requirement to use their ability. She can just tap tap tap tap.. depending on mana in play and so on.

As for the tapping for fliers only when it costs that little, I guess I can see it, since it's already a pretty soft body for the amount of mana it costs. :P

I can only find 2 creatures currently with a tap any creature ability that doesn't require them to tap as well.
Both are uncommon, one is from Dissention, the other from Onslaught.
The first costs 3 mana, the second 4, and onslaught block was intentionally mana heavy so I'm not sure it would still be 4 if it was made in a different expansion.
