Surely there are some dæmons that are too huge to have around. I like the ferret ones. Keep it in your pocket, use as a towel. I saw horses. Good for traveling long distances, but you're not going spelunking anytime ever.
Also, fully-aquatic dæmons. Torture. I heard that one character had a dolphin for a dæmon. Yeah, try to keep up with the boat so I don't DIE.

Combine the two and we have this. I hope dæmons don't need to eat, because the blue whale would need a LOT.
