Slavestream commission for tealmarket. The final drawing of his two hours, it seemed appropriate, given the teaser. Soon he'll be a gasmask drone, just like me~

Please keep your Doctor Who and Metal Gear Solid jokes to yourself, thank you.

Come on..... We're supposed to keep the Dr Who jokes under wraps after THIS? Just the gasmask was hard enough, but one that melts to the flesh?  =P

Every single time I post a gasmask picture - and I do that a lot - I'll get at least two references to that episode and one reference to the video game. It'd just be nice to post something with a gasmask in it without people regurgitating one of the three same jokes over and over and over again.

You can enjoy some art without clinging to pop culture like an unweaned pup to his mother, can't you?

The episode (and I guess whatever game you're talking about) came first. And were REALLY GOOD pop culture. *shrug* The mental connection isn't an easy one to break. It might help if you posted something that didn't trigger pop culture references so blatantly. I can't speak for the game, but this picture especially evokes the Doctor episode, because it was about masks melding into someone's face- and that is what you have drawn here.

Some. Not all. Sometimes the pop culture reference is what makes the image worth looking at in the first place.
