Looked at a GTI Mk6, did love it, but I have this thing about only buying cars made in Japan. I am glad that the GTI is still made overseas tho, drove real well, super luxe, and the gas mileage was great even with a turbo. Plus, those plaid seats! <3

*Pssst* Hi. I just wanted to point out, that every car sold in the US, is built in the US. While it may be designed in Japan, or Germany, most of the parts come from China, and south America, and it's assembled in the US. If they actually made the vehicles overseas and shipped them to the US, the cost wouldn't be very economical, and they'd lose sales.
I personally prefer American vehicles, mostly because I'm a mechanic, and I work on my own stuff, but also because I believe in American muscle. I'm not a big fan of tuners and imports. People modify them, and it sounds like a weed whacker going down the road. XP
((Also, just so you know, turbo's help fuel economy, not hurt it. By forcing air into the combustion chamber, the engine can have a greater thermodynamic efficiency. This means a smaller engine can put out the same power as a larger engine. As you may know, a smaller engine takes less fuel to run. Under high boost conditions it may take more fuel than an engine of the same size that's not turbo'd, but under low boost, normal driving conditions it's far more efficient.))
