Wow, your pencils actually add an interesting, almost film-grainy quality to this one. Very apropo.

Huh, yeah, now that you mention it.  I don't think I could do this with every drawing. It's too different an animal, and some of the cleaning honestly eats up about as much time as inking. But now and again it could be a fun alternative. I just knew that when I rescanned Sam that I didn't just want to upload her as a pencil sketch in this one. I wanted to give her the look of coolin'er gams in a real ritzy joe joint, see.  Oddly, I'm most proud of managing to make the pretzels actually look salted with a coloring trick.

Yeah, colored sketches can be a really different sort of thing, but they definitely have their uses!
