This is incredibly sketchy, I just did it as a doodle (about a week ago), and I didn't even attempt cleanup or polish, but here's the thing: I still kinda like it.
It's a bizarre thing; to some degree, I end up hating everything that I draw, but how much seems proportional to the amount of time and effort that went into the picture in the first place. A picture I spent over a week on, I can't even stand to look at. One I spent 15 minutes on, I can look at from time to time without complaint. I might even smile at the sight of it.
I don't know if, at stages like this, I just see the potential rather than the result, or if I genuinely make pictures worse by continuing to work on them. Maybe I obsess and raise my standards too high in the process. It doesn't really matter - I'm just thinking aloud.
The point is: pictures like this I end up liking. If I keep going, it MIGHT turn out better, but it'll almost certainly bother me more and more the further I go. This is just a quick doodle that I don't feel bad about.
That's why I think this is worth uploading right now. It may not be skillful, or complex, or even 'good', but it somehow means more to me that way. It's something that I drew that I can still enjoy - flaws and all.
