Lil while ago I got a new fantasy book and an idea from that eventually lead to this guy. A Dwarf Orc hybrid set in a Fantasy world with a modern level of technology. ^^

Rekal Olkar yawned as he walked through his home as the Euros' sun rose just outside. Rekal was a bit hod. At a glance you might think him a young Orc. Maybe just attributing his less than pointed ears broader nose and nubby tusk to his age. Of course you'd be wrong. Rekal was the son of an Orc and a Dwarf. He was more the height of his Dwarven father with some features from his mother. Rekal loved and hated this at the same time. One the one hand he sometimes didn't mind being mistaken for a child as it could make movie tickets cheaper and if he'd decided to wear a cartoon shirt or something he wouldn't get an second thought. Of course it also meant frequently being asked his age when he went to buy some horror films. Sometimes someone would think him a lost child at the store. Rekal often wished he could at least grow a small beard like his father's. Being nearly the age to enter an University he still wasn't able to grow facial hair try as he might. To top all of this off Rekal was never quite able to master toileting. Rekal never seemed to know when he had to go until it was an imminent. This didn't help many see him as an adult. But despite all this Rekel was quite mature in mannerism. Like his father he had a gift for all things mechanical. Technology fascinated him. Robotics most of all. At the same time he'd been lucky enough to inherit his mother's affinity for magic. A rare thing among both Orc and Dwarf. But Rekal found it useful. He was fond of building machines and enchanting them. He hoped to make Robotics his major with a minor in the magical arts. Off course for all his maturity he had to admit that sometimes he did like being treated as a kid. Reka sighed walking away from the window looking back to his bed where a plush Saber Cat named Kit sat. As Rekal walked over to his dresser to get a fresh diaper he knew whenever he did leave for University that Kit would be joining him.
