Locked up in one building or another, Dave the doberman lived the watchful and patient life of a guard dog. Visiting many different venues from estates, to personal homes and stores, his guarding services took him wherever his owner was paid to take him. Though he got no money for the job, he received fair compensation from his owner. Though, an extra bone for those more, "extreme" times wouldn't hurt. Chasing thieves or intruders and bringing them to the ground while trying to breath and bark at the same time could be quite the arduous task.

Currently Dave patrolled through the halls of a renowned museum. Paintings, banners, and rather pristine architecture lining the walls. The clacking of his claws on the marble floor echoed throughout the empty building, reminding him how alone he was. Sniffing the air and perking his ears, he kept a close watch on his surroundings lest anything were hiding in the shadows. Visiting the culture exhibit, he viewed some items belonging to the Arab culture; preferably a lamp hiding behind a glass box. It must've been thousands of years old, and by the look of it had quite the history with certain markings and a bit of a scratch here and there. Looking at the text engraved upon a gold slab sitting in front of it, it was too dark to read about its origins. So, walking over to a small lamp illuminating part of the exhibit, he rubbed the dusty light bulb and lamp covering with a paw to clean it.

Suddenly, the lamp began to vigorously shake. An odd breeze filled the air, and a rather frightened Dave could swear he heard voices filling the air. Backing away from the shaking lamp, he jumped in fright as the light bulb popped. From within it blue smoke emerged, which began forming itself into clumps. Soon the transparent cloud formed a shape resembling that of a canine; a rather…ghostly-pudgy canine. Rubbing his eyes, Dave was dumb founded. Standing…or rather floating before him was a bluish ghostly Greyhound wearing a toga and leaved headdress. In his paw was a chalice which he sipped to his hearts delight, and floating beside him was a bowl of grapes, which he greedily stuffed in his mouth, adding to his protruding belly.

"Greetings mortal, I am Corpulius Maximus, spirit of festivity and hedonism. I've been roaming the world for sometime now spreading my wealth to creature big and small, man and beast. I have been slumbering in that lamp for some time now and for the life of me I've yet to understand my imprisonment within such and object. But verily you have released me, and I may spread my wealth to the world once more. You have my utmost gratitude kind beast, and for it, I grant you as many wishes as your heart may desire. But be warned, for every wish you receive, you shall also receive the fruits of the such fine living I represent." He patted his belly rather heartily.

Still rather amazed at meeting an actual spirit…ghost…genie…whatever, Dave was more amazed at the sound of unlimited wishes. The price to pay wasn't a bad one, for deep down, Dave had always had the secret urge to live a life of gluttony and enjoy the fruits of it's labor. Tragically though, his profession called for him to remain in shape, not to mention he never had the opportunity to eat to his stomachs content and revel in a fat stupor. That is, until now. It was only for a day anyway, and by the time he was done, he'd wish to be thin again so that he may continue his job.

Overly excited, Dave wanted some clarification. "So, I have an unlimited number of wishes? And every wish I make, I grow fatter?"

"Indeed my good beast. So pray tell what is your first wish?"

Thinking about how fat each wish would make him, Dave decided to start out small. "Alright then, I wish for a nice well cooked tea bone steak on a silver platter."

Munching his ghostly grapes, Corpulius clapped his paws, and in a puff of smoke a large tea bone steak appeared directly in front of the doberman. Sweet and succulent, vapors carried the awesome flavors straight into his mouth. Dabbed in herbs and spices, he spent no time lifting the plate and leveling it with his head. Before he would chew it however, he felt an odd tingling sensation come from his mid section. Looking down, it began to gurgle as if it were hungry. In the blink of an eye his belly soon burst a few inches out as if he swallowed a watermelon, only, there was nothing inside it. Pressing a paw against it, it was all pure fat; nothing occupying his belly at all…for now.

"I think I could get used to this," Dave grinned.

"Of course dear boy, tis a life of grandeur and festivity. Who wouldn't enjoy such a life."

Dave couldn't agree more. Fueled by a new vigor of excitement, he opened his mouth and quickly wolfed down the juicy steak with little effort. Having quite the heavy load fill his belly so quickly, he released a hiccup. Admiring his quick work, he gave it a series of pats. "Never thought I'd be good at this."

The ghost took a sip from his chalice, "Yes, indeed, you are quite the natural. What say is your second wish my good beast."

"I wish for an entire feast all for myself. A table filled dishes I can think of at the top of my mind, and drinks too." His eyes were wide and blissful at the thought of it.

Once more the Greyhound clapped his paws. A blue cloud of smoke formed a rectangular shape in the center of the room. From it a large table covered in a milky white cloth materialized, and on it, large plates stacked with the foods Dave could think of, along with a nice candle spread to light up the feast. Bottles of fine wine sat in rows, with large glasses filled to the brim with its contents. Roast turkey sat on a tray filled with stuffing and gravy, with a scent of Jack Daniels used to dress it. Bowls of mashed potatoes, sweet barbeque pork, ribs, bacon strips, burgers, salmon, sandwiches, and various cakes, cupcakes, pies, donuts, éclairs, and pudding spread from one end to the next. It was just like the feasts he had seen wealthy folks enjoyed on T.V. Certainly a gluttons delight, he wasted no time in diving in.

Starting with the sandwiches, he funneled as much as he could into his maw. Chewing ferociously and taking huge gulps as bread, meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato traversed his gullet. Doing likewise with the rest of the food, his belly steadily grew larger and tighter to the point he was able to feel it rubbing against his hind paws. Swallowing the final éclair whole, he grunted as it landed in his overcrowded gut. He made sure to keep a bit of distance from the table, lest he add discomforting pressure to it. Panting and groaning with mirth, he clutched at his belly. Gurgling and able to carrying it in his paws, he looked on at the remainder of the feast. So much more left to go, yet no more room to store it in.

"Wait a minute, of course."

"Not finished yet are we?"

"Of course not, Corpulius. I wish to have a stomach which can handle an unlimited supply of food!"

Doing the same motion to grant wishes, a puff of smoke formed around Dave's belly, then quickly disappeared. The once tight and tense feeling he had on his belly had disappeared, while accompanying it was a few extra inches of fat. Everything bellow his head significantly bloated larger and rounder, especially his waist which slightly folded over his haunches. Delighted by the result, he gave himself a hug; his paws wrapping around as much of his frame as they could.

Resuming his feast, he blithely wolfed down everything within reach. The table would creak as he pulled half his body over it just to reach what food he couldn't pull toward him while sitting on his haunches. Disposing of the wine bottles two at a time, his vision turned began going blurry, as well as a series of hiccups accompanying him. The warm liquid caused all the inner contents of his belly to slosh and gurgle about, giving him quite the pleasant inner stomach massage. Trapped in gluttonous ecstasy, he grinned at each mouthful, smacked his belly with each load increasing its size, and even resorted to stuffing a paw into his mouth just to swallow massive portions whole. Finishing all but the turkey on the table, he waddled over to it. His hefty stomach bubbled and burbled as it wobbled, as well as dragged along the floor as his footpaws barely reached. Pulling the marvelous roasted bird over to him, he took massive bites until not even a sliver of skin was left.

Having so much fill his stomach up so quickly, he slowly waddled over to a wall to rest against. Rolling onto his back, he groaned at the effort of rotating his massive body, then sighed in relaxation as his plump frame cushioned itself against a solid surface. A sloppy grin was slapped across his face as he viewed the fruits of his labor. Paws practically resting in front of his face, his gluttony had transformed his once trim figure, into a corpulent mass of indigested gorge and fat which puffed up to his chest and nearly enveloped his hind paws. Rubbing his burbling tub of fur, he licked his lips as he contemplated filling it up some more.

"I would *hilp* more than love to have another feast, but I don't think I'd be able to move well before *hilp* long. My paws could barely reach the floor because of this *hilp* wonderful belly."

Delighted by Dave's pleasure, Corpulius flew over and rested atop of his belly. As best as a ghost can. "Then might I suggest having the food brought to you."

Smiling, Dave patted his abundant barrel of lard. "That's a wonderful *hilp* idea. How would I go about it though?"

"You could always do what I do," he clapped his paws.

"Alright then. I wish *hilp*, for whatever food I could think of to appear in front of me *hilp* whenever I clap my paws."

Granting his wish, Dave's body bloated up larger than he originally expected. So much, the plush of his bosom pressed against his muzzle, his legs were fully enveloped by the bottom of his belly, and the fat behind him pushed him slightly off the wall. Sloshing as he tried relaxing in a more comfortable position, he attempted to once again sit up straight. Looking to his belly, he clapped his paws, and in a cloud of smoke, a large box of chocolate donuts appeared. Licking his chops, his belly gurgled in agreement at what he was thinking.

"This is *hilp* going to be quite the night."

===

Hour after hour, the halls of the museum resounded with obnoxious clapping, only to be drowned out by the vociferous sounds of munching as the dawn steadily approached. Dave's gluttony lasted for a solid five hours with not a significant sign of fullness thanks to his wish. The wall he rested on suited him well for the first hour until he had grown so fat his belly ruined his balance and either tried enveloping his face or the back of his head. This warranted wishing for better stability, which grew him fatter and allowed him to better control his weight. Eating to the point where he could be his own exhibit, he clapped his paws and finished the remainder of a few cupcakes.

Blithely submerging himself further into his fat, he rubbed and squeezed at as much of his body as he could. Constantly his body wobbled and jiggled even as he remained perfectly still. The slightest ripple would cause the rest of his blubbery form to move and slosh about. Woozily, he looked to the Greyhound ghost, who seemed to hover above him in, looking on in admiration. Grinning back at him, he smacked his belly, which brought fourth a chorus of sloshes and churning which continued for a few minutes; even as he sat stationary.

"Well Corpulius," Dave yawned, while lifting as much of his fat body as he could, "I've quite enjoyed myself throughout this night, and I look forward to the next time I can experience this. But the sun is coming up and my owner will be coming anytime now. So, I wish you to make me thin again if you please."

Clapping his paws, a large cloud of smoke enveloped his belly. A tingling sensation occurred at the center of his stomach, then sent a wave throughout his body as if he had eaten something very large and felt it land within his stomach. As the cloud disappeared, Dave wined in fright as he frantically looked to Corpulius.

"Hey, what's going on? I haven't gotten skinnier, I've gotten fatter!"

"Oh…oh yes, I've forgotten."

"Forgotten," Dave growled, "forgotten what?"

"Well, as I've originally told you, I'm a spirit of festivity and hedonism. I promote beings indulging themselves and enjoying the pleasures of life. A spirit who could help you out would be Cardius Exerciseus, the spirit of healthy living."

"What! Well where is he?"

Corpulius shrugged his ghostly shoulders. Whining at a higher pitch, Dave looked at his massive body. What was once pleasure would now transition into punishment. With no logical explanation for his sudden size increase, there was no telling what could happen. Hugging his fat body for now, he wined and waited for the judgment of his owner, and his fate for the near future.

(Epilogue)

Upon discovering the sudden size increase in his dog, the first week of this change was hectic for Dave's owner. Having to use cables and a crane to take Dave out of the building, people couldn't believe their eyes as they saw the largest history pass by their streets and sent to Dave's home. By some miracle the backyard was large enough to accommodate the doberman, and with people curious to see the oversized canine, they flooded Dave's home in droves. The story of the fattest dog in the world hit the mainstream media by storm, and with people wanting to see Dave more and more, his owner had hatched a plan.

Dave the fattest dog in the world soon became quite the tourist attraction with people far and wide waiting in droves just to see his blubbery visage. The attention rubbed off on Dave quite a bit, and to retain his size his owner would order truckloads of food to be delivered to him day by day (with Dave's own food he would clap into existence on the side). It became further amusing to see doctors reactions when they found out Dave was healthier than most athletic dogs. His fantasy of gorging himself for the rest of his life was realized, and better yet he was praised for it. Forevermore patting his titanic frame of fur and fat, he relaxed as his belly continued to grow. His maw agape, ready for the next mouthful.

The voted on choice for my quick story. Took me 2 days to write mostly because I was lazy the first day . But I'm happy to finally update this place . Here's what I made of the suggestion given by HectortheWolf. (voted on by 3 other people).

Suggestion description: Maybe a story about a guard dog in a museum (maybe a Doberman or a german shepherd dog),
who finds a ghost in a lamp. He has no wish limit, but every time, then he wishes for something, will he get fatter and fatter^^ .
