I was messing around with animations, smoothing scripts, battle scripts etc. and I thought "hey, why not record something to show for this week?" ...so here you go, a sample battle scene =D

Please excuse the lack of fade-in/fade-out effects but my video editor for some reason doesn't have those and Windows Movie Maker files refuse to be converted to MP4s...

Oh and what you see on this video is just a sample, it's not an actual in-game scene for obvious reasons.

So enjoy I guess ^_^;;

I love old school RPGs, never new why. But I'm loving this.

Oh my, you can Surrender too? Now I must wounder what happens form that.

Well, that part is actually going to be in the game for sure...you'll have a chance to "fight", "talk your way out of fighting" or "join the bad guys". Each of the 3 options will be a valid way to beat the game and will have it's own ending ^_^

Of course each will have pros and cons that will be revealed in time =D (as a side note: none of the so-far-thought-out endings involve rule34 :D )

You had me at "join the bad guys". I never get why you can't do that in must games. What if I like what they are doing? Or I want to go bad and see want happens? So it makes me jump for joy win some one lets me join the bad guys.

talking a way out of fight that would almost be like a shin megami tensei game option cause after talking they either leave, fight or may give you something (money or item) whichever you choose or they may join you but join the bad guys is a new way to go with a game

I'm not familiar with that game...but I added that to give a partial freedom to the player...will be made the same way it worked in Fallout and Deus Ex...depending on what you do or what stats or items you have, the option might work or might not...or there might be multiple choices to the "peace dialog" and if you pick the wrong one you're forced to fight...still haven't thought of the exact details ^_^
