Wow, the backgrounds and the lighting are fantastic! I agree that Alvin looks soo peaceful when asleep, a sharp contrast from when he's awake! An the aPhone looks real enough that you could just pluck it from the picture and have a look!! I love Simon's expressions, I hope after he gets over the shock of what he sees, he'll just slide right into bed with Alvin and give him, a 'revenge' awakening! =^.^=

Oh, Thank You X3. I was gonna ask about the backgrounds. Their is so much detail. You take a class, I've learned some stuff about perspective and such, and been wanting to get into drawing my backgrounds with this much clarity. If this is all you, you have pretty good understanding of depth and perspective. Did you have a model or photo reference? How long did it take you background alone? Lots of questions about that XD

In this case, one for the room and one for each bed, though I probably could have gotten away with just eyeballing them really. If you look closely you'll see its not perfect, The angles are off in places but I didn't want to spend the time to rework the scene away from the picture I had in my head. I've never taken classes, so I'm sorely lacking in some areas artistically, but oh well. This page took three night's work all told, if that's any help! I am not very fast with this sort or thing, sadly. Reference is always helpful! Never be afraid to use reference if you feel the end result would be improved because of it.

Well, you've managed to put a lot of work into it though. I can forgive the small flaws because the setting looks prominant and lived in, I admire the patience you put into this. You don't see that in most comics as background is usually an afterthought. I didn't know sai had perspective grids though, thnx for the link.

You totally nailed their room layout! I am really loving how this is coming along! only one minor thing tho... i think thr rug in their room there may happen to be the wrong color. but other than that.... off the top of my head i can not think of anything to say other than this looks amazing, as all of your other munks work does!
