Author's Note: I went on ahead and published this. I'm not sure if this is going to be left as a short story, or an introduction to the story, as I MIGHT write up another chapter. I would also like any critique of this from anybody.

A happy heart is what always brings good things to the table. A loving heart shares affections, caring, kindness, and felicity. But not everyone could keep that kind of heart. There was just one pink dragoness that carries the opposite: a sad and lonely heart.
From the looks of the dragoness herself, she looked more adultery. She had yellow horns that slandered backwards. Although she had pink scales for her figure, her neck, chest, and below the tail was colored yellow.
She looked up at the sky, and the sun shined onto her eyes that eventually squint. Her chest rises, inhaling some air and exhaling a soft sigh. On the other hand, her chest exposes a necklace that she wears with a heart-shape rock glowing dark purple. In approximately 200 years ago, she managed to find this kind of shape from a broken dark gem, which she at first thought it would go good for an engagement ring. Instead, she preferred it as a necklace.
About the dark gem, it was once the power of dark evil that was possessed by an antagonist sorcerer name Red, who was a dragon elder banished from the dragon world so many years ago. It was not long after his defeat, he passed away. Just after his pass, this dragoness was distraught to know that this once evil red dragon was her first grandfather full blood. Years have passed of course, and she still has to carry that fact and still does not believe it. Although she was related to him, she never thinks or feels as evil as the dragon himself.
The dark gem itself was once smashed into bits right in front of her by someone whom was a brave, mischievous dragon whose the one to defeat Red years ago. She always thought he was a very handsome and strong purple dragon. She knew back then that she was only young and may did not understand, since she easily fell for him--some people would consider it "schoolgirl crush". In addition, she did not want the purple dragon to go off to swamp or else she may not be able to see him again.
But the purple dragon, however, did not share the same feelings like she did. He always looked at her as a friend. Eventually, she had her eyes laid on someone else, whom the purple dragon helped hook them both together. He was an armadillo, and his name was Bandit. She was very happy to be with him for the longest of time. But the sad part about it is, he was not a dragon race, therefore his lifespan could not range as much as dragon years. The dragoness did not care how old or elderly he gets, she wanted to love, care, and be with him until he no longer can breathe. When the time came for his pass, her heart has been what it is today: sad and lonely.
On the other hand, she still had a red dragon name Flame and always enjoyed his company, especially for training. She loved him as well. But loving each other as mates forbid between the two. The reason is because they are not friends or strangers, they are brother and sister. She still wanted someone to be beside her, someone who actually loves her and she loves him back, and having a family of their own. Sadly, there are not much dragons out there. Until then, no matter what, the pain has remained in her heart.
Suddenly, her mind starts thinking that there is still a chance to cure this pain she has been enduring for many years now. There was one dragon that may be able to love her. But she quickly shook her head, because she remembers years ago that he never shared the same feelings as she did. But many years have passed now, and she has not been the same dragoness she was when she was a lot younger: sweet, outgoing, and sometimes unsettling. It is the present, and she has matured. Ever since the years when she was with Bandit before his passing, she became more of an explorer. Flame on the other hand, always trained her whenever he has the chance so that she can defend herself, and maybe, just maybe, there is a possible hidden power within her.
Now that she has grown up, being a stronger, exploring dragoness, her mind tells her that there might be a chance at love. What she thinks is finding the love from the strong, handsome purple dragon that was once a hero to her. She looked down and almost blushed from imagining of him in her head. She felt her heart slightly racing in both anxious and excitement emotions. She felt it in her heart that she still have feelings for this purple dragon. She feels that there is just one more chance in love for purple dragon, whose name was slowly mumbled out of the pink dragoness, "...Spyro..."
Just a short story about Ember the Dragoness from both Spyro: A Hero's Tail and Spyro: Shadow Legacy. I'm not sure where else I will go from here with this story. But some ideas may come to me.
