This one is from my older works, but one where I first started making digital art.
Meet Flamebolt, sometimes called Flames by his friends even though he had no kind of fire abilities. He's a male Mana Dragon from a lost temple called the Dryad Mana Temple, located in a jungle far east of Sunlight City in Revialisa. He was found by Song Vocalist and MagiMimic Marie Mikarigi in an exploration of the temple, and since his awakening has accepted her as his Mana Knight. He likes the calm and easy life but is quick to defend those he considers his friends.
Once in his journeys with a Dark Knight named Matt Fenris Sikado he came across someone of his own race, something he thought would never happen. A female Mana Dragon named Flammie. After some... time together they soon had a daughter between the two, named Flambella.
Flamebolt was called to assist Matt, Marie and company in getting to Yggdrasil to help rescue a friend of Matt's that was confined there. Due to the magical turbulence around the ancient magical tree Flamebolt could only drop them off near the base and leave, as the tree itself seemed to be draining his magical strength the longer he stayed there. He returned to where he and his family lived in the jungle nearest his original home only to find no one there. A trap was sprung by a renegade group called the Kalrisi, lead by Eriot Kinlier to capture Flamebolt. Despite the resistance he gave, the leader of the group pointed out that if he didn't comply and come with them then his family will be killed. Not wanting anything bad to happen to Flammie or Flambella, he willingly goes with them not liking it but not having any choice.
Now, still under the control of Kalrisi as another member, Emerald, who is a pure-blood vampire child, used her magic to change his form into his dark side, the purple and blue Evil Mana Dragon. He has been able to resist falling completely into this spell but it is only a matter of time before it is permanent unless Marie can somehow rescue him...
The story ends here as a lot of his history is yet to be reviled through Role-Playing. More will be added if I can find a way to resume this current storyline. Flamebolt I created initially because in the history of the Secret of Mana Series there's rarely been a Male Mana Dragon as all the 'Flammie's in the series are potentially female.
The background was a random one I did with GIMP before I got the hang of Photoshop.
