I spent most of today on this! Well, that's not really saying much as I got up at lunch time XD lol, but I did all of this today. Woo! Sorry it isn't finished but it's after 2am and I'm totally exhausted now...

So, what brought this on, I hear you ask? No? I'll tell you anyway, 'coz it's kinda funny X3
Here's what happened: I was in a LEGO mood and was browsing 'brickshelf' the other day for ideas, and I stumbled onto someone's gallery with a couple photos titled 'SpiffMini' and 'Spiff Motorhome' ... the name Spiff Mini stuck in my head for the little 8 x 8 ship design, using one of those pesky little 4 x 4 dome domes, which I've never been able to make work for a cockpit canopy; I decided, using the photos, to try and figure out how it was put together in Lego Digital Designer: it used a piece I have never seen before, and totally found by accident in LDD: I don't have one of those pieces, which is kind of key to the whole structural integrity of the little ship, so, annoyed at digging up one of the 3 or 4 of the little domes I have every single time I go looking for anything, I decided to try and find a way around that 'missing piece'... the little ship works just fine without it, although I would imagine it's slightly more fragile, and even more so with all the extra details I added (antennas, some 'engines' and a flexible hose or two... and a little satellite dish... I seem to have a habit of doing that for my LEGO space mocs)
Only after building my version of the little 'Spiff Mini' (I call mine the 'ZIP' cause it looks zippy... yeah =P), all in black (as it's the only colour I was guaranteed to have all the right pieces in... although while digging through my lego to find the pieces, I was surprised by exactly how many I have of certain pieces! I really need to take an inventory check or something O_o) uh... where was I? Only after all the trouble of building the little mini 'Spiffcraft' did I bother to research it's origins...! Now I am left to wonder why have I never heard of this Spaceman Spiff before? Spaceman Spiff is awesome, and I have decided that my Astrobunny and his robot totally find a wrecked 'Spiffcraft' on that jungle planet... you know, the emergency landing one, after the marooned monkey dude totally steals their ship and wreaks havoc on the galaxy once more... oh, whoops, I've spoiled the surprise! D8

... I really should do more work on those comic ideas, but spontaneous stuff like this seems to turn out better than any sort of 'plan' I try to come up with... O_o except for that damn eye. Cursed perspective... and... stuff! >_< That's why it's half hidden behind some hair bangs =P ... the hair is also a little more than I intended, but it was meant to be all crazy and floating around... so I'm gonna call it a win! No, he probably can't breathe in space, but because designing a helmet for a rabbit is just all sorts of insanity, he's got one of them energy force field whatsits that fits perfectly to the shape of his head and ears. X3

Usually I'd go over this very carefully for spelling mistakes, but I am just too freakin' tired...!

So many Saturday afternoons of my gradeschool years.
Outdoors.
Hopped up on sugar-based cereals and five hours of action cartoons.
They never knew what hit 'em...
