"Hearth's Warming Eve" was a refreshing episode that just put me in the mood to draw something sweet. Also! Lauren Faust recently revealed that her original story for Spike had him being raised by Celestia after Twilight hatched him, which would more or less make him Celestia's adopted son. So I'd like to think they had a few moments like this together.
I do eventually plan to color this picture. And I'm playing with the idea of maybe including a background (I really need to practice backgrounds more).
