Part of a series of theoretical Act 2 musics for Sonic 2, commissioned by strawberrytobin, it's my job to get them into the game and working using its sound engine.
The next one done is Emerald Hill, which I again think came out really well. No caffeine rush this time, but still done relatively quickly. All of it was fairly simple to do. I did the main loop first, then added the intro bit. Nice and simple~
While making, I found a few things not completely accurate to Mega Drive standards in the original, such as 6 FM channels at one point. This was resolved fairly easily, and then modulation was added too for awesomeness. I tried altering frequency on the octave'd channels too, but it didn't sound as good in this, so I removed it.
Before anyone asks, this is actual emulator output. This isn't rendered from FL Studio using VOPM or anything similar.
