I can't remember properly but, Penance was a succubus demon that, somehow, got put into the body of a little girl bear cub. (I can't remember how it happened.) In her bear cub form, she had a habit of finding evil people and exacting revenge upon them for the evil they did, or tried to do, to other little girls. (Some of this revenge was NSFW, if you know what I mean.) She was created by the late James Hardiman(?) of Skunkworks fame. Regrettably, James died less than three years ago but he left behind a LOT of artwork of his characters.
