There was an owlman who lived in the moon of Flatts, Aramis, named Uriah Dran.  When the moon was full, he would watch the stars.  When the moon was new, he would sleep and he would dream.  But when the moon was at waxing, he’d take out his Beaux fiddle and he’d play happy songs.  Songs of joy, happy times and romance; all through the night until the sun poked it’s head over the horizon.  But he’d play a different tune when the moon was waning.  He’d play sad songs, songs of loss, of heart break and longing. He longed for his music to be heard by someone, but he was alone on the moon.  Nothing would bring him more joy than to have someone, anyone hear his music besides himself.  That is until one day he didn’t play his fiddle.  He didn’t play his fiddle for a full month, thinking it was pointless to play for an audience that wasn’t there.  The next full moon, he watched the stars until he heard someone call out.  “Why did you stop playing?”  It was from the brightest star in the sky.  “We’d like to hear you play,” another star spoke and more and more spoke up until the sky was filled with their requests.  “How is this possible?  I thought you were lights too far off to hear my songs,” Uriah asked.  “We heard your songs the whole time, Uriah.  We’ve heard them for longer than any of us could remember,” a star replied.  “We’ve watched in silence for so long and we’ve seen you grow sadder and sadder every year as you thought your music fell on deaf ears,” another star spoke.  “We missed hearing you play your songs.  Whether they were songs of joy or songs of sorrow.  Please play again,” asked the faintest of the stars.  Uriah was touched by their words, he finally had an audience after so many years of loneliness.  So he picked up his fiddle and began to play.  The stars were happy to hear his music again and he was happy to be heard.  And since that day, Uriah never felt alone and he never stopped playing.  The stars were patient when he would rest during the new moon, knowing the next night he’d play again.
