This is Aerice Balenceo, Lance's mother and incedently, the main villain of Ocealand's stories. She is the creator of the Icicles (those sharp creatures behind her), various ice shaped monsters that have the goal of freezing Ocealand's surface so that their creator will never risk drowning again. As a child, she fell into the water under the ice and thought that an Amphian (Queen Runia) was trying to pull her underwater to drown her. She barely escaped, but ever since had a strong phobia for water. She eventually reconciles with Runia when she learns the truth (that she was being saved) and as an apology, plays to her reputation as a villainous Ice queen so the Amphians and Ocealanders can train themselves against Ice themed threats. When she's not freezing the sea, she's entertaining Stars from all over the universe in her Icy carnival. Her son Lance actually left to form his own carnival and is actually unaware that his mother is a villain, but has always noticed his younger brothers Bluzo and Reddy are unusually mischievous.
Aerice's name is kind of a combo of Bear and Ice. She used to be called "Polara" when I first created her (based on a Polar bear), but then I named my Arch deity "Polara" and for obvious reasons, Aerice's name had to change.
Aerice has 5 toes, but her sons all have 3. I don't know who their father is, if they even have one. It's not likely they will though. Stars can reproduce Asexually so it's not impossible.
Even without drowning, Aerice can't swim. She always hated water because it feels really heavy and cold on her body. When she gets wet (and isn't intentionally bathing or showering), she often freezes herself instinctually. She ironically loves Fire though.
As stated, Lance has no idea his mother is a villain. Aerice finds Lance too kind hearted to tell him about her plan, so she often hides the Icicles from him. The Younger twins are well aware and fully support their mother's secondary plan. Incedently, Lance never really finds out, as by the time the issue is resolved, there's no indication that she's trying to freeze the ocean and he just assumes her role as a "villain" is part of an act. (which by then it is).
Aerice has a permanent cold and often has a tic where she sniffles and sneezes a lot when she's stressed or in battle. She always seems perfectly healthy when in her tent though.
