Here, I'm enchanting my laptop so I can get better performance from it (I turned it off and unplugged it for safety purposes).
First I replaced the thermal paste, fan, heatsink and Wi-Fi transceiver. And then I replaced the HDD with a SSD. The better performance I get from the base components, the better performance I'll get from the enchanted versions.
First two enchantments slightly overclocked the CPU and GPU, then I placed matching cooling enchantments on them. Air purification and cooling enchantments on the fan and heatsink further lower the risk of overheating. It took a lot of research to make moisture-free versions of those enchantments, I'm telling you!
I then made the new SSD REALLY shock-proof! Better safe than sorry, right?
And I enchanted the Wi-Fi transceiver to really increase the power, speed and range. It's now as good as a vehicle-mounted transceiver and those can connect to a hotspot from 10 miles away on a good day!
To match all that, I did an enchantment that tripled the battery life!
And I finished with a security enchantment designed so that my astral signature - my soulprint if you will - is needed to get the laptop to work at all. I also know how to turn the enchantment off so I can allow others to use it if needed (at a repair shop for example).
The tablet on the stand there is my spellbook, so it's not the first time I've done this either.
I normally wear gloves so I don't accidentally hurt people with my talons. Since I'm indoors I don't see any need to wear them. And if anyone's dumb enough to break into a building where a griffin mage works and sleeps in, then I already have my preferred weapons out! ^v^
Contrary to popular belief, I actually take the ethical use of magic very seriously. I don't mind enchanting objects to improve productivity, but I won't do enchantments if I'm reasonably certain it'll put someone out of a job or give an employer an excuse to fire someone.
