Male / Female (though males are often much smaller than females and rarely seen in public)
Species
Scuttling Hive Spider Cryptid (Sleipnir (Misanthrope) )

Character Description
Wyrms are a spider-like creature and are the second most well known 'god of nature' though they rarely take part in what the other gods are doing and simply keep to themselves. They can live quite happily in their hive villages without causing harm to anyone but they are a force to be reckoned with should anyone be stupid enough to wander into their territory.
Personality
Wyrms just want to live off the land and not cause any trouble to anyone however should someone be foolish enough to wander into their territory then they face being swarmed by armies or Wyrm.
Likes/Dislikes
Wyrms like to be constructive members of society within their own groups and enjoy a hard day's work however they do not take kindly to strangers and intrusions on their privacy.
Background/History
Only the Naga know how old the Wyrm are since they have coexisted since before any of the other forms of life came to be. Naga uphold that they were the first to exist but the Wyrm state otherwise. Both are very wise and have had civilization since before anyone else. Wyrm would have more prevalence in the history books if they had done anything to aid anyone other than themselves.
Relatives/Family
Despite Wyrm living in huge hives they are not drones and actually consist of infinite numbers of large families and are not born from a central queen. In fact their societies are often run by a committee of representatives from the various districts of their settlements.
World/Setting
Wyrm are said to be able to live anywhere and thrive in all environments even those seemingly devoid of life. However their settlements are often hidden from view with ominous way stones and animal bones used to ward off potential intruders if they get too close to the hive's location.
Body
Brown somewhat spherical body, cuboid rock-like legs that hover next to the body and a narrow cuboid shaped head with singular eye.
Clothing
None.
Accessories
None though they may have pre-made traps planted in the area where they live and they can spit strings of sticky thread they can use to bind enemies.
Banpir Character Sheet (Koll-yoh)
Urkwod Character Sheet (Koll-yoh)
This is not the finalized sprite by the way. There's a lot more to do with the shading and the shapes aren't going to be quite as geometric. The eye is about right though. It's just a guide to show you a rough idea. I may even just use this in the demo and leave it hidden in somewhere as a joke. It's a kind of spidery thing that spits. I took inspiration from the hippos in Mon's game. The name is Banpir for "that which crawls" and is the origin of the word 'worm' and pronounced the same. Interestingly Wyrm doesn't describe long thin creatures that slither like we use it today as the Banpir had their own word for that. It actually describes creatures that scuttle along the ground like insects, arachnids, lizards and some crustaceans. Though a very square pose in this picture the final form will have a much more natural pose with a drooping head and splayed out legs. You can kinda consider this the T-pose here. Wyrms in mythology are the second most common 'god of nature' and they are often said to have elaborate city-like hives with many spherical rooms with interconnecting tunnels that span from the tree tops to deep underground and everywhere in between. They fiercely guard these dwellings with elaborate traps and swarming armies that attack any intruders. They do tend to keep to themselves but may the gods save you if you ever get too close to where these guys live. However in mythology they are often classed as a rogue god. They officially take orders from the guys at the top but most often do their own thing and tend to stay out of people's way unless disturbed. They will eat anything that comes near including rival Wyrm tribes and their level of intelligence is up for debate. Some say they are as advanced or even further advanced than mankind in the stories with technology that humans like to steal and imitate and the Wyrm even have a peaceful Utopian society with equal rights on a level that would even put us to shame. However other stories tell a different story about violent tribal savages that settle disputes by combat and have the loosest definition of civilization and technology.
