i seen one solar eclipse in my lifetime and it didn't look like this so I don't know lol

Only in a total eclipse would one witness the Eclipse Wind (a high wind that blows as totality starts) or the waves of light & dark over a long plain, as the refraction bands from the edge of the moon's shadow, as it crosses where you are.

Be sure NOT to watch directly, but follow advice on indirect viewing.

Where I live (northwestern California), I've seen one annular eclipse and three partial eclipses (I missed the '79 total eclipse), but I'll be up in Oregon for the total eclipse, this time. :)

I'm currently looking for someone to draw my mouse character enjoying the eclipse...
