Not bad, you have some talent. some can't draw half as well.

Can't say much about the hand. Though the proportions of the main part, vs the finger and thumb sizes are off. The fingers look a bit too small, and the thumb too big. Looking at your own hand should help a lot with such a sketch.

You got the form right however. The fingers are spaces nicely for that look. And if closed together would have a taper to them.

The cat looks better to me. Right away, one thing that caught my eye that could use a fix is the eyes. That is the light glare on the eyes of your cat. You should have the glare showing on the same side on both eyes, unless the light source is right in front of the face and a little above the head, then the light glare is perfict as you have it.

If you where going by the drawing example at the bottom marked "A Traditional Cat" then you can see in that example the light glare on the eyes are both on the same side. Not pointing to the middle.

With some of the shadowing you have, you can get away with saying a small light is near the face. ^.^

This isn't a fail, just something to learn and add as info to any new drawings. And I hope this helps. ^.^
