A Moment in Time - Ambient

Prophecy - Hang Drum[Solo Instrument]
a_moment_in_time.mp3
My first try at a truly ambient track with percussive influences. An experiment on prolonged notes, soft pads, low brass, strings and drones, along with piano and reversed percussion.

Imagine a moment in time, frozen in an endless loop, floating among reality, a motionless halt in life, and all that breathes and thrives in the world, for time ceases to exist, and the memory is held within there, forever.

Thank you for commenting on my older music :) Just trying to submit it here up to the latest piece, even if it doesn't get much attention. I think this is your favorite genre, right? Ambient?

*nod* I listen to just about every genre, but the top three are ambient/drone/experimental, reggae (especially dub - I am from Humboldt County, but I don't indulge, yet I love the music) and doo-wop. :)

Ah I see. I personally don't see genre in music, I see music as it is, defined by its counterpoints, melody, rhythm, flare and emotional personality. I listen to a wide variety of genres though.

Being a child of the '60s, I grew up with rock & roll and top-40, and never stopped listening. :) Unlike my mother, however, I have gone beyond '50s/'60s/'70s rock, and have branched out to classical, jazz & world. There hasn't been a single genre that I haven't liked at least 1 song of, even punk & rap. I can recognise at least 70,000 songs, and have likely heard much more over the last 50+ years. I had even wanted to be in broadcasting, but with my poor health and eyesight, that just never happened. :(

Amy, incidentally, is a reflection of my love for radio- her name refers to AM stereo, a technology that made it possible to broadcast stereo on a single AM frequency with an audio range up to at least 10kHz.

That's quite a spectacular amount of genres and songs listened to. How old are you if I may ask, you seem to have a lot of experience and life under your belt, it's always good to see such wise people in the Fandom with such good taste in music.

51, with 32 years in the furry community and almost 50 years' love for music and radio, and identifying as a furry. :) (All that I identify with- music, science, space, reading, languages, radio, furry and TG- began when I was 2.)
