SuperSonic is an unstable mode of Sonic, and will soon revert to Sonic. The last time I recall him using this mode, he used the wrong emeralds (red) and an evil homicidal SuperSonic split off. Determined to destroy life on an unprecedented level , he was about to KILL the good Sonic, when the power ran out and he dissipated -fortunantly.
The series had taken a direction that led me to cancel my sub at #134-5.

I remember that. It was six red emeralds on another planet. In the first moment that Super Sonic wad made it wiped an entire species out of existence. The whole idea was that that the Super Sonic those emeralds made didn't have a conscience so it had no restraint or sense or right vs wrong. It was power out of control. It faded out of existence just before it brew up the planet's moons just because it felt like doing it.

There were other adventures* in the "Tossed in Space" story-arc culminating in Sonic managing to get home in a rocketship, but (1)unable to bring along Tails' parents, and (2) Finding himself dislocated a year into the future.
I am going by memory as the Sonic issues (from #1 -5, 29 to 135)were all stolen.
