Personality/General Bio:
With Optimus leading the Autobots once more the Quintessons resurrected their “Guiltaur” program, creating a second hybrid of the two leaders, this one they did not build but instead allowed a protoform to absorb and adapt which lines of coding it felt necessary. Once their modified creation had programmed its own coding they infused it with its own Spark and then proceeded to prevent anything else, making it nothing more than a slave.
Naturally the plan encountered its faults, namely an incompetent Sharkticon army and the previous Prime giving out information. Only this time they didn’t even get Guiltaur’s broken parts back as Optimus removed it’s Quintesson control and proceeded to… adopt it?
Yes, Optimus couldn’t help but feel attached somehow, it was a part of him after all and without the Quintesson control the real Guiltaur was nothing but a child. It was quickly accepted by the Autobots and lines of coding used to help adjust it to a non-violent life as it’s weapons were removed.
Personality-wise, this guy could well be the definition of insecurity.
Easily riled by anyone challenging his authority he tries desperately to cling onto and exercise what he has, easily coming off as a arrogant ass with an anger problem as he will get confrontational with those who pick at him too much.
Despite all this he values his friends immensely and has a bad habit of throwing them in at the deep end, not through malicious intent but he genuinely believes his friends are great and can do anything.
He really wants to try his best and not disappoint anyone but it’s hard when you doubt yourself.
Guiltaur also possesses the amazing ability to quite honestly bullshit his way out of so many situations.
Relationships:
He cares immensely about Optimus Prime and just wants to make him proud, despite Prime’s obligations to Cybertron and running the place taking up a good portion of his time the two have a good relationship. Even if Optimus is not fully aware of how far his insecurity goes.
Cleancut - The two have been close friends for a long time, she can easily see through his facades and often lets him vent to her, they know a lot about each other and look out for each other.
DJ - Guiltaur loves DJ’s company, his infection energy cheers Guiltaur up immensely.
Scope - Being of similar ‘age’ the two were put together a lot when younger with the hopes of forming friendly bonds. Guiltaur is saddened by Scope’s lack of social activity but despite the more unpleasant parts of his attitude Guiltaur seems to keep an almost obliviously positive view of the triclops.
Firewall - Thinks she’s great but dislikes their nitpicky attitude, but respects their judgement and takes it into consideration.
Rupture - Guiltaur feels incredibly mixed about the Decepticon, he likes their cool head and better authoritative skills but hates their somewhat unsympathetic, harsh view on others. He also feels slightly intimidated by their better command of those who follow them.
Special/Extra:
* Guiltaur does two things when he panics.
- He will either curl up into a ball for defence.
- Or occasionally his fairly useless mass-shifting code activates and he’ll shrink a little.
*Possibly due to a side-effect of being created as a weapon or due to lines of code from the old Decepticon leader, but Guiltaur can go into periods of berserk rage.
*He loves playing Basketball and is actually pretty good.
*Has a sweet tooth.
*When he's alone he'll sing pop songs and dance around the room. (He sings it into the Cybertronian equivalent of a hairbrush... a buffer? IDK He just does that.) Although he often just mimes along to the songs.
