Peanut has been taken to a photographer to get a picture taken. With Peanut, its amazing that they were able to get him to sit still for longer than 10 seconds without the use of sedatives or cuffs. :P
I seem to finally have been able to regain my art sense or whatever you want to call it. After a downtime and personal problems, I was having some real issues with my drawings and I almost freaked. But often times, it just needs a few days of calm and distraction, to get clear ones mind and so I was able to return to my virtual drawing desk without any problems.
I've been meaning to draw a fanart picture for RickGriffins Housepets webcomic, for quite a while now, but I never got around to it. At first I was having trouble which character to select, because they are all awesome. I was aiming for King at first, because he is the character with the biggest character arch so far and I think he looks just amazingly cute. But since it took me so long to decide, I kinda lost track of it and it was only recently, when I saw the first Housepets book, published on amazon, that I remembered I hadnt done any fanart of it yet.
So to celebrate me buying the book, getting back into drawing and of course RickGriffins awesomely cute and incredibly funny webomic, this picture of Peanut is my sign of gratitude for his awesome work, that made me laugh and go "awwwww <3" countless times now.
Thanks a lot! I think most of the bad drawings come from people trying to mimic RickGriffins drawing style too closely and that they lose their own sense of structure and expression over it, at tleast thats my theory. While I tried to stick close to the original design, I took some liberties, most notably the feet and the hands. I'm not very good at drawing animal paws and putting cartoon paws on him, just looked weird, so I changed it. Another thing are the eyes. RickGriffin tends to draw eyes very differently from my style, so I kept it closer to my own and just made them larger as usual to make Peanut look cuter.
