Welcome to the lovely Laughter Lu'au, an ancient Alolan tradition invented just this year! :D Tis a festival celebrating the joy of laughter and the merriment of the inner child. During the festival, volunteers who wish to experience the purest laughter, called Singers, get buried up to their neck, their bodies deep in moist sand, with only their head and feet left emerged. The sand is packed so tight that they can barely squirm, fully immersing them in the wild experience. The volunteer remains comfily in place until one of the several the jovial Comfey comes by and rests around the Singer's exposed head, signalling people and Pokemon alike to come tickle his or her feet with whatever is available. Hau loves to laugh and smile, and was not shy about volunteering for a spot in the sand, just as his friend and rival was not shy to send out some of his Pokemon to aid in putting the biggest smile Hau ever produced on his face! A Totodile for some devious little scritchies, a Tangela for really getting into those toes with, and a Mimikyu, who really needed some fun in life. The trainer joined in too, of course. He used some quality oils supplied by the event runners to slicken up his skin real nice, and raked his soles with great natural skill using some colorful plastic guitar picks, as well as teasing his toes with some nubby rubber attachments on his other hand's fingers. Even when giving Hau a break from the plastic claws, massaging his feet with those nubby little buggers didn't seem to make him laugh any less! It's a good thing he looks like he's having the time of his life, cuz that Comfey looks entirely comfy, and is probably gunna be hanging around Hau for much of the afternoon~
Gwahhh, I love Hau, he's one of those exceptionally rare cartoon crushes of mine, I so rarely get all worked up for a fictional character~ X3I already feel the need to draw him yet again in an even more intense situation. Cute lil' cinnamon bun~ Teach him not to slouch during a Pokemon battle. =P
