Ok well I'm pretty late posting this up here. Though as a reminder stuff is always up on FA first so check me out there too. But anyway here we are and quite happy with how this one turned out.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring. Not even a mouse. Or for that matter what had been a very determined little liger. After a long evening of watching Christmas movie with Warren and talking non-stop in the excited way only an eight year old can Lig was bound and determined that this year he'd get to meet Santa! The real one. Not just one of the helpers who stands in at shopping malls. No this year he was staying up to catch a glimpse of the real thing. Warren just smiled and decided to let his little bro try. So after a quick change into some thicker night time padding and a PJ top Lig was set to stake himself out in the best hiding place in the living room. Directly under the Christmas tree. He crawled in under it and curled up there with a pillow to be comfy and Bushy for company. There were already some gifts under the tree from friends and family but arranged around the edges so Lig had plenty of space and cover. He'd surely never be noticed until jolly ol Saint Nick was planting the presents under the tree. Then Lig could give the real Santa a hug and say thank you and just maybe he'd get to go with Santa for a little bit and help deliver presents because he had done what no other cub had done before. Of course Lig would have to run to the front door first and grab his coat because it was chilly out or maybe his snow suite which surely Santa would help with.

But as time wore on it became harder and harder for Lig to stay awake. Try as he might he couldn't keep his eyes from drifting shut and it wasn't long before they closed completely and the little liger drifted on off into dreamland. Warren came out into the living room a short while later and couldn't help but smile at the way Lig had fallen asleep under the tree. He took out his cell phone and snapped a picture of it. He briefly considered trying to write "Do Not Open until Xmas" on Lig's amply padded bottom but didn't want to chance waking him up. So with great care he brought out the bag of Christmas gifts from hiding and slowly stacked them under and around the tree. Once finished Warren ate some of the cookies left out for Santa and sipped down the milk before grabbing a piece of paper and a pen. He wrote out a short little note to leave just under the plate. "Dear Lig. Nice try from a nice cub. Better Luck Next Year." and signed it "Santa." It'd be a nice little addition for Lig when he finally woke up in the morning. Warren took a look at the picture on his phone and back at Lig and snapped another now with all the gifts present. Warren couldn't help remembering staying up late himself trying to catch Santa but never quite succeeding. Santa was a very crafty Lion back then. Now he was a crafty Liger. So this years Santa Stake Out would be a bust but that probably wouldn't stop Lig from trying again next year. Or the year after that.

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story. And once more. Merry Christmas too All and to all a good night. ^^
