The following day, Chris stepped out of the carriage after a well deserved nights rest to find Pokemon had come to relax at the shrine once more. Walking along, they cautiously watched as he smiled and gave them a wave. With some sitting atop and hanging from the Froslass statue, others had gathered atop the shrines main building, relaxing in the sun on the roof and swinging about from the beams. Around the plaza they scurried about as well, some laying sprawled out in the sun while others played with one another. "Now this is a shrine..." Chris chuckled as he approached the donation area before the entrance to the building. Strolling up the stairs, he looked everything over once more before nodding and standing before the box. Setting his staff aside against the railing, Chris dug in his pocket, offering a donation of his own before taking hold of the rope connected to the bell above and giving it a ring, the Pokemon surrounding the shrine gathering curiously, yet warily as he clapped his hands before lowering his head. Hearing the bell themselves, the girls made their way out of the carriage as well, looking around and taking notice of Chris before giving one another a curious look and silently gathering with the other Pokemon behind him. "How ya doin' grandpa?" they heard him begin. "Sorry I haven't spoken to you much since... You know." he went on, his stance sulking slightly before perking back up. "I'm doin' real good though! I've seen lots of places and you wouldn't believe some of the people I've met! And the things I've done... Whoo what a story." he chuckled before letting out a sigh. "But... Before anything I wanna tell you I'm sorry." he affirmed, the girls looking at one another curiously.

"After mom and dad left me with you, it robbed you of the retirement you deserved. I'm sorry they had to go and throw me over your shoulders like that. You deserved to have more freedom in your life. You should've been able to enjoy your years taking care of your bucket list. Doing lots of great stuff, going to see amazing places. The part of your life you spent taking care of me... It shouldn't have been you. Instead of having fun, instead of doing what you wanted, you had me pushed into your care and I took all of those rights away from you... I'm sorry." he apologized. "You did your job raising my dad. It shouldn't have been your place to take on raising your grandson on top of that. You deserved so much better. You deserved to do more of the things you wanted to do. After I was born, even if I was a burden on their lives, they should have been more thoughtful than just shoving me your way. If they really couldn't manage things, then they should've given me to an orphanage or something, not ruining the life of their own flesh and blood..." Chris sulked, letting out a sniffle as the girls showed worried expressions. "I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused you over the years. I know the curse made things hard on you. Mom and dad lost it after eight years, you put up with me more than twice as long. I can't imagine what it did to you..." Chris sulked more. "Maybe that's why you wound up dying in the end. All the stress, all the trouble. Maybe having me around pushed your heart into giving out... A part of me always felt like it was my fault. I'm sorry, grandpa." he apologized, sniffling more and wiping his face. Watching in silence, the girls jolt when they saw the Pokeball on Chris's staff leaning against the railing of the porch begin to glow feintly, seemingly responding to his words.

"Even though having me forced into your life caused you so much trouble, I hope the work I did for everyone made up for it. Even if just a little. Now and then I'd hear the elders talking about what a handful I was. There were times you'd have to form search parties because I was off answering some call I couldn't even control and wind up lost. Of course they always changed the subject and smiled whenever they noticed me, deep down I could tell being responsible for me took a toll on everyone." Chris sighed, pausing for a moment before letting out a "heh" and shaking his head. "Maybe... That's why after you died, they were so ready to get me out of there. Without you around I'd be even more of a burden on them instead. That's all I can remember doing in my life... Winding up someone else's responsibility, stressing people out." he sulked. "And then I found out about all the money you left behind... Was that your retirement money? The fortune you had... That was meant for you to enjoy yourself, wasn't it?" Chris asked while clutching his chest. "All the money you gave me... That was supposed to make you happy. To take you places... And I robbed all of that from you, didn't I?" he asked, the girls suddenly seeing tears streaming down Chris's face. "I'm sorry for so much grandpa, sorry for so much more than I could've ever had time to apologize for. I kept everything I should've said bottled up, and you died before I could have a chance to tell you these things properly. I took everything from you. Your freedom, your dreams, your money..." he started hicking, leaning over the box and clutching it as his tears plipped onto the wooden surface. "My parents didn't want me, and because of that you were forced to raise me. You were such a good person, and they took advantage of you, and you lost everything all because I was a pain and ruined their lives!" he sobbed.

"I ruined mom and dads lives... I ruined your life... I'm sorry." he hicked. "I didn't deserve you. You didn't deserve to suffer because of me. You didn't deserve to die because of..." he went on, pouring out his grief causing the wild Pokemon to show somber looks alongside the girls. Glancing back at the Pokeball atop his staff, Rose's eyes widened before nudging the girls, pointing it out as the ball glowed all the more before the orb of light they'd seen enter it back on the Guardian appeared, hovering in place above the staff. Raising up, Chris wiped his face again before giving a shaky apology, clearing his throat before taking a deep breath and putting his hands back together. "I wanna let you know that the fortune you left... I'm using it to help others. I don't have any right to use it for myself after everything I've put you and so many through... I've used it to make lots of kids happy, I even used it on a machine that could really help people in the future! And pretty soon, I'm gonna put a ton of it toward the most amazing ship you've ever seen!" he assured. "Every penny... It's gonna make so many people happy. Out of all the misery I caused people, it's the least I can do." Chris nodded, the girls smiling endearingly before noticing him trembling, clutching his chest once more. "That's good, isn't it? That's the right thing to do... Right?" he asked. "I'm not wasting it? I'm making you proud...?" he asked before tears started streaming from his eyes again. "All of it was stolen from you... I got it because I crushed your dreams. That's why it should go toward making others happy. To making their dreams come true, right?" he asked, his tears dripping from his chin onto the porch. "You left me with so much I didn't deserve... I'm sorry for ruining so much for you." he apologized.

Looking at Chris sadly, the girls noticed the orb of light softly hover from the staff to behind his back, almost like that of something or someone wanting to stand with him and pat his shoulder. "But, you know... Life really hasn't been too bad. Even if deep down there's things I feel guilty for each day, there's still a lot that happened that makes me glad the elders pushed me to leave the village." he nodded, wiping his eyes. "I have a new family now... They're all Pokemon, but to me they're the same as any human." Chris smiled. "They're like you in a way. Because of my curse, they put up with so much. But no matter what we go through, no matter what happens because of me, they still stay by my side." he chuckled. "I have to admit though, I don't feel like I deserve them either... I've told them that I don't know how many times." he went on while looking down. "Maybe the reason I tell them that so much is because I always wanted to tell you the same thing... There wasn't a day in my life I felt like I was worth having you around." Chris affirmed. "That's how I feel about the family I have now. All of the Pokemon with me are girls, the most amazing ones you could ever imagine." he nodded. "But... That's another problem." he went on. "I'm not very good with girls. I'd never been around them much until they came into my life, and because of that I've done stuff that has hurt them. That's another thing I tend to wake up feeling bad about." he confessed, the girls looking at one another with guilty looks. "I have a hard time understanding them, and there are things that happen that make them mad at me and stuff. For everything I do right, there's always something wrong or bad that I do." he sulked.

"I guess it would help if I told you a little about them though." Chris smiled while putting his hands together again. "One of them is the toughest Gardevoir you could ever meet. I named her Serenity." he began, causing her to perk up. "She's the most powerful girl in the world. I've seen her take out tons of Pokemon all at once, and she can deliver attacks and make explosions so big it's like the whole world shakes." he praised, causing her to put her hands on her hips with her nose up, a proud smirk on her face. As he spoke, the orb of light waft away from him and started floating around Serenity, causing her to jolt and look at it curiously. "She's the reason I put your money into that machine I talked about. She was born blind, so I gave her the sight from one of my eyes using the machine. It's meant to make transplants easier... I thought you might like that." he smiled. "Then there's the Lopunny with me, her name is Rose." he chuckled, the rabbit perking her ears up as the orb waft in front of her, making her eyes widen. "She's the cutest girl on the planet, and I know I can always rely on her whenever I need someone to talk to. She's like the glue that keeps us together... She really helps me keep everyone calm." he praised, causing Rose to blush and scratch her cheek shyly. "Then there's the Serperior with me, her name's Alicia." he continued, the snake tilting her head as the orb waft around her. "I wish I could be more like her. She's so straightforward. She doesn't hold anything back, and she'll be honest with you and with herself no matter what. She doesn't pull any punches." he smirked. "Even with me." he added with a nervous laugh, the snake scowling with an embarrassed look on her face.

"But... She's strong willed. She's feisty and real refined. I don't think there's many girls out there on par with her either." he grinned. "Sometimes it makes me a little jealous how blunt she is. But... Even if the way she's so blunt can hurt sometimes, I still respect that about her. She stands up for herself so strongly, and even when I'm on the receiving end of her attitude I can't help but look up to her." he affirmed, causing the snake to blush. "All three of them are so beautiful. I don't think I could ever find the right words to describe their looks in a way that would do them justice. And on top of that, each of them have different strengths I could only dream of having." he sighed. "Three incredible girls, all sticking by the side of a guy like me." he added, the girls looking at him once more as the orb hovered over their heads. "You know grandpa, since I've started traveling more and more people keep seeing me in this fantastic light and praising me. But... I just can't find myself deserving any of it. I'm just a guy who's trying to make up for the burden he's been to so many. A guy trying to make up for having a fortune thrown onto his shoulders he never deserved. I'm not doing things for people to get recognition or glory. I'm just putting the money I was given where it rightfully deserves to go." he nodded. "I've been given some amazing powers thanks to Ninetales too but... That's just it. People think I'm the one doing all this stuff, and it's not me. I'm not the one saving lives. It was Serenity and Ninetales that did all the work back when we saved this ship called the Guardian a little while ago. It was their powers, not mine." he affirmed while looking down. "Since I started traveling it has always been Ninetales and the girls doing so much." he added.

"I don't remember much, but this time we fell off a cliff, I know it was Ninetales that saved me, I know it was Serenity who helped us. When we were in this place called Millennium City, it was the girls combined who saved me from being imprisoned. When we were on the Guardian, it was Serenity who kept everyone alive, it was Alicia who risked her life for mine." he detailed as the girls looked at one another. "It... Its never been me. I've never been the one doing the work. That's why I don't feel like I deserve them either. That's why... I still feel like a burden, and why I try so hard to make it up to them for everything they put up with." he explained, sniffling while looking at the donation box. "The only thing I ever did for them was help them out of a tough spot... I didn't do anything worth having them in my life like this. That's why I always feel so terrible when they get involved with the trouble that comes around because of the curse. They take on so much for me when I did so little for them, when I never did anything to deserve so much love..." he hicked. "Just like with you... Just like the elders. I never deserved it. Never." he affirmed as his tears started plipping onto the box a second time. "Why...? Why do so many take on so much for me when I don't deserve it? Why do they... Why did you have to care...?" he asked. "I-it killed you... It killed you grandpa! What if it kills them too...?" he asked before sobbing once more, his emotions swaying as he confessed his griefs. Lowering onto his knees, he clutched the box tightly as the wild Pokemon teared up behind him, the girls doing the same as they watched him shatter. "Grandpa... Grandpa..." he sobbed, his guilt and longing for the deceased finally coming to the surface.

Hovering back to Chris, the orb of light waft along his spine, seemingly giving him a gentle rub. After a moment, Chris finally pulled himself back up and wiped off his face, collecting himself and clearing his throat once more. "I-I'm sorry grandpa... The one time I finally talk to you at length and I just bring up drama. Some grandson, huh? Always trouble..." he smiled, biting his lip as it quivered and tears continued trying to well up in his eyes while looking up. "I'm sorry for bothering you up there... You should be enjoying your peace now, not being dragged back down here for more stress. Especially just to listen to a guy who never deserved you from the start... I just wanna let you know that all the money you left me is going to things it should have gone to from the start. Things that are way more deserving and worthwhile than I could ever be." he affirmed with a nod, sniffling again and wiping his eyes. Wafting away from his back, the orb of light softly made its way across the girls faces before returning to the Pokeball atop Chris's staff and vanishing, the girls looking at the object before facing one another. Clapping his hands together, Chris ended his prayer with another apology before taking the rope in hand and ringing it a second time. Taking another deep breath, he let out a relieved sigh. "That felt... Good." he nodded, satisfied with his confessions and venting. Turning around, he suddenly paused when he saw the crowd of Pokemon that had gathered, all of them sniffling in a now depressed state. Seeing the girls, his color turned pale as they smiled at him, Serenity holding his staff out. "A-Ahh..." he stuttered, sweat beginning to cover his face before letting out a sudden shout of panic and jumping back in surprise.

Stumbling over the donation box, Chris fell backwards over it with his arms and legs flailing, landing behind the box with a thud and groaning as his feet stuck up in the air. "That was some moment you had." Alicia spoke up as Chris pulled himself up. "You really have a lot bottled up..." Rose added, giving him a somber look. "G-Gah... How long were you there?" he asked, standing before leaning back to pop his spine, letting out a relieved sigh and motioning for his staff. "Hear whole thing..." Serenity replied while handing the staff over, rubbing his back as he straightened up. "No need to do that, I'm fine." he assured, coaxing the Pokemon away. "I'm not an old man." he scowled. "And it's rude to just listen in on someone like that, you know? This kinda thing's real sensitive stuff." he lectured. "We sorry. We hear you ring bell thing. Come out to see what going on and just kind of listen." Serenity apologized. "Y-Yeah. We really didn't know what to do. We knew it was something sensitive so we couldn't just butt in. At the same time we'd feel bad just leaving you alone in that kinda state." Rose point out. "You should appreciate the moral support." Alicia scowled. Looking at the girls, Chris let out a sigh and nodded. "I'm sorry, it's nothing you girls should feel bad about, and I shouldn't get upset over it." he assured. "W-Well, since we heard it all... Can we say something?" Rose asked. "I-I guess?" Chris nodded, scratching his cheek in an uncomfortable and nervous manner. "If I may, who are you to judge and determine how another felt about you? Who are you to assume what has been gifted to you was meant for some personal purpose?" Alicia lectured, slithering up to him with an agitated look. "If your grandfather spent all those years raising you, what gives you the right to call it all a waste so easily? Who are you to call on him just to say all of his work was for naught?" the snake added, Chris blinking in surprise.

"Sh-She's right actually. And how do you know the money he gave you wasn't really meant for you? There's no way to know what that money was really meant for. It could have been for himself, but odds are it was just as likely to be saved for your sake." Rose nodded. "It not right to blame self for grandpa human dying. If he old, it natural he die. I know that harsh, but it true. You not know if it because of you he die. Maybe he just live long enough. Maybe he know it time to go. He know it time to move on, that it time for you to move on." Serenity affirmed. "It doesn't matter if you're a human or a Pokemon, when you get older, you get weaker. Eventually a time comes when you pass away... It's not fair to blame everything on yourself. Sure raising you might have been hard work, and it might have been stressful sometimes, but I don't think any of that had anything to do with him dying. If anything, I'd say it was just a natural end." Rose added. "I'll admit, living with you can be troublesome. It can be difficult and yes, stressful indeed..." Alicia nodded, the girls looking at her while Chris showed a guilty expression. "But still, even with all the hard times we endure it's not something to dwell over, it's not something to feel remorse about. More often than not, the difficult things we experience help us grow. We've evolved because of those hardships, we've learned from them." the snake affirmed. "Y-Yeah! And not only that, but you've gotta remember, we had it hard before we even met you! In fact, even when you combine all the bad stuff that has happened since we met, that's still nothing compared to the lives we had before!" Rose added. "Life with you never be as bad as life before. You nice, you show lots of love! Do fun things, take great places!" Serenity nodded.

Looking at the girls, Chris glanced away with a quiet "I dunno" in response. "I just don't think I've ever done anything worth being given so much from my grandpa. I don't think I've done anything for you girls to deserve all the love and affection you give either." he replied. "I got you out of a tight spot, but ever since then you've gone through hell sticking with me. I've done things to hurt you too..." he reminded. "You did far more than that you fool." Alicia affirmed, Chris looking up with an "eh?" and slight sweat on his face as she loomed over him with a scowl. "Have you forgotten all of the things you've said and done for us? All the things you've given us?" she point out. "No matter what we go through, it's worth it to us to be with a human so nice! The bad times are hard, we can't deny that." Rose nodded while looking down and fidgeting. "B-But all the good stuff you do for us, all the things we see you do for other people, that makes up for the bad stuff we go through more than enough!" she assured. "I not like other humans, but not deny it amazing to see what you do for them." Serenity nodded with her arms crossed. "We've been over it before. It might be Ninetales power within you, but not her brain. All that you've done has been accomplished with your own ingenuity." Alicia affirmed. "That fox might give you the power to perform extraordinary things, but her power alone is useless without that mind of yours." she went on, tapping his head with her vine. "You give fox too much credit! Have to stop that!" Serenity lectured, waving a finger in his face. "All fox do is give power and talk big. You the one with big brain! She never be able to think of things that you do! She never be able to do things way you do!" she added.

"And as far as all the stuff you give us credit for... We never could've done any of that without you. It's because of you we have all the power we do now. It's because of you we have the confidence we've got. Without you, we'd probably be nothing..." Rose affirmed while looking down. "I can attest to that in a literal sense. If not for you I'd have been dead long ago." Alicia nodded. "I be dead too! You not just get out of tough spot, you save lives!" Serenity agreed. "That's right. You saved us, and even after that, you've continued helping us. Whether you realize it or not, everyday we're with you, you're helping us. In some way, you always are..." Rose smiled. "You always make us happy. You always show us how much you love and care about us..." she added with a slight blush. "You go above and beyond to be a goodie two-shoes with your heart on your sleeve. It's as admirable as it is pitiable." Alicia smirked. "Pitiable?" Chris asked with a nervous smile. "Trying here." the snake scowled. "The point is, your kindness makes any hardships we face worth enduring. You give us comfort in knowing that no matter what we suffer today, tomorrow there's always more happiness in store. It's a reassuring thing to know that, if we can endure the bad, there's far more good to enjoy out of our lives. The bad times help us grow, they make us stronger, and the good times put us at ease. They make us savor our lives, appreciate them. No life comes without its ups and downs. You cannot be faulted for that." Alicia affirmed. "That's... Actually really well put." Rose point out in surprise. "Really? That's your response?" the snake scowled. "Living with you, it make us happy, and it make us strong. It good life to have! It a challenge as much as it is fun! I like challenge!" Serenity nodded.

"And if that's how we feel... I think in a way maybe your grandpa felt the same." Rose point out, Chris looking at her silently. "We love you a lot. And even if things can be hard... Even if there are times that are stressful, you're too good a person to just leave because life isn't perfect. The bad times can also be exciting in their own ways... So I think that's how he saw things too. You gave him extra love and excitement in his life. Anything he could've had or found by traveling, I think he enjoyed all of that just by taking care of you. It's who you are, and it's your curse, that makes living with you so great! Life is peaceful, and it's exciting!" the rabbit smiled. "You can be a handful, and if I was one of those elders you spoke of, I'd have my share of complaints as well." Alicia nodded, causing Chris to glance away. "But!!" she added, causing him to jolt. "Complaints don't inherently mean a person isn't happy to have you in their lives. Complaints don't mean a person doesn't want you around!" she affirmed. "Is life challenging? Perhaps. Can life with you test a person to their wits end? Of course!" she went on. "But it's not a BAD life at all. Looking out for you keeps ones senses sharp, their instincts honed and their bodies active. And correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not something the old need more-so than anyone? I guarantee raising you did more for them than you could ever hope to realize!" she point out. "You not perfect. Nobody perfect. Life not perfect. It never is. But you, and life with you, a LOT better than life without. And that all that matter." Serenity smirked, nodding with her arms crossed. "I think your grandpa felt the same, and all those old humans you talk about. You gave them a new kind of purpose in a time of their lives when they probably started feeling like they didn't have much purpose left... I've seen a lot of old humans looking really unhappy. But the ones that raised you... I can't picture them any other way than with smiles on their faces. Especially after you turned out so well!" Rose assured with a thumbs up.

"From a parental perspective, I'd say you turned out admirably." Alicia nodded. "Everything they had to teach, you absorbed like a sponge. You dedicated yourself to every lesson they had to offer, and I'm sure it's something they appreciate to this day. Even if they were hesitant to help raise a child with a curse upon him at first, I'm certain after getting to know you, after getting to teach you all that they had to offer, they were as thrilled to have met you as we are. Especially considering how well you've put their teachings to use in the present! Each time they catch word of your doings since leaving, I'm sure they feel all the more pride in themselves and you welling up within." she smirked. "You do more than give credit for. You think so little of self, when you have lots to be proud of! You the human that save us, bring us together. You the human that spends every day of life thinking of ways to make us happy, ways to make others happy. Humans and Pokemon you know and not know, you give lots of love to all." Serenity smiled. "Like with that hospital for one, and this shrine as another fine example. And lets not forget all those souls aboard that wreckage." Alicia reminded. "Yeah! It's like we've said before, Ninetales may have given you the power to reach them, but how you saved them, and us, was entirely your doing! You have an amazing brain, and without it no matter how much power she gave you, it'd be useless!" Rose affirmed. "Need to remember that! It not power that make you special, not power that make you great, it YOU that make you great!" Serenity grinned, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "It mind you have, it heart inside you. That all that matter, all that ever matter. Power that fox have nothing compared to who you are! She never compare!" Serenity praised.

"And you know... I think your grandpa really does care about you more than you realize." Rose point out. "Indeed, for some reason I can't help but feel he has gone to great lengths to remain by your side, even if you're unaware of his presence." Alicia nodded, the two looking at the Pokeball atop Chris's staff. "He love you much as we love you! He always be by side like we always be by side." Serenity assured, tapping his Pokeball with a smirk. Tilting his head, Chris looked at his staff curiously as the girls passed by and lined up in front of the donation box, holding the rope together before giving the bell a ring and placing their hands together, in Alicia's case her vines while lowering their heads. "Thank you for raising this fool. Even if he does sorely lack self worth." Alicia began. "He turn out good. Do good job." Serenity nodded. "We'll do our best to look after and support him!" Rose giggled, causing Chris to smirk while showing a tear in his eye, quickly wiping it away. "And while we're doing this confession nonsense..." Alicia added, glancing back at Chris before lowering her head again. "My... Apologies... For some of the drastic ways I've reacted to and treated him." she went on. "I get rather worked up now and then and my behavior gets out of hand. I fail to control the things I say and do, so I apologize for the harm I myself have caused him. I suppose I'm partially to blame for his weak sense of worth." she nodded, Chris giving the snake a surprised look. "I sorry too. I get angry lots, not control well. Get in fights and get in trouble." Serenity added. "Sorry for the way we tease and pick on him so much too. We don't mean any harm by it and we know it stresses him out... He's too cute to resist though!" Rose laughed nervously while scratching her cheek.

Continuing to watch the three, Chris wiped another tear from his eye as they rang the bell together a second time before turning, causing him to jolt and clear his throat while facing away. "That was nice..." he nodded. "You happy now?" Serenity asked, walking up and leaning her face toward his with a smile making Chris lean back with a shy blush. "Y-Yeah. All good." he nodded, his reaction making her giggle. "We love you, and we know your grandpa and all those other humans that raised you do too! Everyone's gotta be proud of someone like you!" Rose assured, giving him a hug around his waist causing a lump to form in his throat. "You might be hopeless, immature perhaps. You may think low of yourself..." Alicia added while slithering up to him. "But no matter your thoughts, rest assured those around you, and those you've left behind, all care for you greatly. Even in my case, excitable and rash as I may be, I still hold you near and dear no matter what." she assured while giving Chris's forehead a nudge with her vine. "Although doing something about that lackluster self worth of yours would be nice..." she smirked. Looking at the three, Chris cleared his throat while tugging his collar, feeling the lump in his throat growing all the larger as he coaxed them away. "G-Gotta get the carriage ready to go." he point out before walking off, leaving the girls at the stairs while he made his way across the plaza, the wild Pokemon parting as he let out a sniffle and wiped his face again. "Everybody needs a pick-me-up now and then I suppose." Alicia giggled. "He like little lost baby sometimes... He so cute." Serenity swooned. "It's another special thing about him I think. Not many males show their emotions like that. I think it's really sweet." Rose nodded before giggling herself.

"Males who show such a soft side are often considered weak... But in his case it's somehow endearing in its own way." Alicia smiled, watching as he wiped his face again before stumbling forward while distracted when his feet sank into the snow, causing the girls to laugh. Shooting back up, Chris flushed with an embarrassed groan before circling the carriage. "It just makes you wanna cuddle him forever." Rose giggled with an "aww" before walking down the stairs, the others following. "It good that he have soft side. Of course, he have good hard side too when needed." Serenity point out. "I'll say..." Rose agreed with a slight blush, the way she said it causing the girls to glance at her before blushing themselves. "N-Not mean it THAT way." Serenity affirmed. "How crude." Alicia muttered. "Oh come on, you know it's true." Rose affirmed, the two glancing away without a response. Circling the carriage, they found Rapidash standing before it, waiting to be latched on while Chris squat by the lake, checking where he'd buried the Magikarp's remains and nodding before returning to the carriage himself. "All good?" Serenity asked. "Yeah... Just said thanks again." Chris replied. Looking at his face, the tip of his nose had reddened along with his cheeks slightly from his emotional release, causing Serenity and Rose to let off a collective "aww" of adoration before hugging him together. "H-Hey hey!!" he snapped, the two clinging to his body causing him to sigh and accept it with a "fine..." while Alicia smirked and pat his head with her vine. "Poor thing." she teased, causing his eye to twitch. "O-Okay! No more!" he affirmed, nudging the girls away in an embarrassed state before attaching Rapidash to the carriage.

"This is too cute..." Rose giggled. "I wanna tease!" Serenity squealed. "He is rather adorable at the moment. Like a pouty child." Alicia smirked while Serenity walked up to Chris, leaning her face toward his for another look and grinning causing him to face away and flush. "Q-Quit foolin'!" he ordered, only to find Rose standing next to his opposite side, looking up at him with another "aww" and giggling. Letting out a frustrated shout, Chris tossed his hands up before circling Rapidash to secure his other side, the girls following while Alicia watched. Hearing Chris let out another aggravated shout, the snake chuckled as he circled back around, watching as Serenity and Rose followed, the two trying to baby him causing a flush to remain across Chris's face. "C-Come on! I can't focus like this!" he complained, trying to make sure Rapidash was ready. "But your face! It's so cu--ute!" Rose giggled. "It so red! Nose all puffy!" Serenity grinned, poking his nose causing Chris to swing his hands in agitation making the girls jump back laugh. "C-C'mon girls, seriously." he sulked, wiping his nose and letting out a groan. Seeing this response, Serenity and Rose's eyes lit up as their maternal sides kicked in all the more, the two of them clinging to Chris again and rubbing their cheeks against him with excited squeals. "G-Gah..." he groaned, looking at them before facing Alicia, giving her a "please?" kind of look, the snake showing a smirk and nodding. "Okay, that's quite enough." she insisted, using her vines to pull the two off him causing both to flail. "No--oo!! Want to hug!!" Serenity whined. "Me too!! No fair!!" Rose pout. "Any more of that and you'll suffocate him. Just leave him be, he's had enough." she affirmed, holding the two up by their waists.

Letting out a sigh, Chris nodded with a "thanks" before making sure Rapidash was ready, taking his staff in hand he'd placed against the carriage before climbing into the drivers seat. "Alright... We should be good to go now." he nodded, clearing his throat again. "You girls ready? It shouldn't take long to reach the onsen from here." he added. "Oh? Closing in on the goal are we?" Alicia asked, setting Serenity and Rose down as they scowled at her with their arms crossed. "Party pooper." Serenity grumbled. "We were just bein' nice." Rose added. "Save your whining for someone who cares." Alicia scowled before slithering into the carriage. Sticking their tongues out at the snake, Rose and Serenity climbed into the seat with Chris, the two scooting against his sides and resting against him. "We sorry we fluster you." Serenity giggled. "You're adorable." Rose smiled. "Y-Yeah. Whatever..." he scowled in response, showing another slight blush spread across his face as he clicked his tongue and the reins. Pulling the carriage out of the snow, Rapidash made his way along the plaza, passing by the Froslass statue as the Pokemon that had gathered watched the group leave, some of them waving as the carriage made its way into the woods along the trail leading back to the main road. Scooting to the edges of the seat, Serenity and Rose looked behind them, the crystal statue continuing to shine and glisten in the sun while the rest of the shrine seemingly glowed, causing both to show a satisfied smile as branches went past them overhead, housing more Pokemon watching them leave until the reached the road. Stopping the carriage, the group looked at all the bags of trash they'd piled up near the gate for collectors to take away.

"Alright then... Guess our purpose here is done." Chris nodded, showing a small smirk before having Rapidash continue along the road. "I must say, it still feels degrading, doing something like that." Alicia point out from the window behind them. "Now snake going to complain?" Serenity scowled. "I'm not complaining. I didn't finish." Alicia scowled back. "I was going to say that, although it feels that way..." she paused, looking back at the gate. "I'm glad we did it nonetheless. It was oddly... Gratifying, in its own way. It's a memory I can appreciate at least. Even if it was rather disgusting." the snake shuddered. "I think it was actually kinda fun in the end. It was nice getting to see the place all clean and sparkly. Makes you feel good." Rose giggled. "It not bad. Gross like snake say, but in end feel good like rabbit say." Serenity agreed. "You see? I told you. Doing things the hard way might have been tough, but in the end it makes you feel pretty swell knowing you worked hard and got some pretty sweet results." Chris smiled before taking out a tissue from his coat and blowing his nose. "You be okay? I know we tease you, but want to be sure for real." Serenity asked. "Y-Yeah. Water works in a climate like this isn't the best idea." he laughed nervously. "I'll be fine. I haven't let that much out in a while. I know it probably looked pretty pathetic but it really does take a lot off your shoulders when that stuff happens." he point out. "Nah, you didn't look that way or anything. We all thought it was precious." Rose assured. "Heh... Thanks, I guess." Chris nodded. Once they reached the crossroad again, Chris pulled the carriage to the side of the road and hovered his gaze along the river, noticing the shrine and pointing it out.

"Even from here, it looks so shiny..." Rose muttered. "We do good." Serenity smirked. "Of course the statue stands out the most." Alicia added with her nose up proudly. "You all did good." Chris nodded, giving them a warm smile causing the girls to blush slightly. "Well... On to the onsen then." he smirked, all of them looking at the shrine once more and bidding farewell before continuing along the alternate road. As they went on however, Chris felt another sudden chill run up his spine, causing his body to shudder. "Y-You okay?" Rose asked. "Y-Yeah." he nodded. Looking at him for a moment, Serenity took her fur coat in hand she'd had on the seat and draped it around him, causing Chris to jolt and look at the coat curiously. "What's this for?" he asked, Serenity giving him a smile. "Not want sick." she answered before she and Rose rest against his sides. "I don't think it's that I'm getting sick. Just kinda feels like a weird chill, kinda like someone's touching my back." he replied, Serenity and Rose looking at one another before looking back at Alicia, the snake shaking her head in a "not me" kind of manner. "Still, not hurt to be safe." Serenity affirmed. "I guess so... Thanks." he nodded, giving the Pokemon a smile causing her to fidget. "Not problem..." she replied, glancing at him before pulling her coat around herself as well to be close to him beneath it, Rose doing the same causing Chris to gulp with a nervous blush on his face. "Warm?" Rose asked. "Y-Yeah. Maybe too warm." he laughed nervously making the two giggle and snuggle against his sides, Alicia watching them and scowling within the carriage. "So how long until we arrive at this onsen?" the snake asked. "Ah, should be there in a few hours. Actually, we should make it before the sun starts setting!" he assured, the snake smirking with a "good" in response.

Making their way along, the group found themselves steeply rising at some points, while heading downward at others, coming across more twists and turns as they progressed through the mountainous terrain that made up the border and challenged them as they trot along, Rapidash enjoying displaying his stamina and strength all the more the further they went. Offering to stop and let the stallion rest from time to time, he repeatedly rejected the offer as his adrenaline rushed through his body, his mane seemingly ready to burst every time he faced another upward climb. Now and then, Serenity would use her psychic abilities to guide nearby sources of water to the horse, allowing him to stay hydrated as he excitedly pushed onward, and eventually, just as Chris had said, they found themselves spotting the onsen they'd sought out. Trotting along the road, a massive wall sprout up, concealing the springs within as steam rose above. "B-Big wall..." Rose point out while tilting her head back. "Long wall..." Serenity added, looking ahead of them. "My word... Is this a place for recreation or a Secret Base of some sort?" Alicia asked. "Ha ha, no no. That wall's to keep people from peeping in on guests. The point of an onsen is usually to bathe out in the open you know. People usually prefer privacy. Wouldn't you?" he asked. "Oohhh... That makes sense." Rose nodded before blushing. "Bathe in the open huh...?" she asked, glancing at him shyly. "Haaah... I remember when we take bath in hot spring. Felt nice..." Serenity swooned. "I've heard these springs are rather large. Although bathing in the open makes me feel a tad wary, it does sound nice to have something more accommodating for one of my size again." Alicia smirked.

Well, keep in mind, not only to they have the wall bordering the onsen, but there's private springs walled off too, so the one you girls get will be just for you!" he reminded with a smile. "Not just us, you too! You take bath with... Right?" Serenity giggled while twirling a finger on his chest. "I not forget prize you owe for winning fight other day. Time to pay up" she reminded. "A-Ah, yeah... Guess I never did really do or give ya anything for that, did I?" he laughed nervously. "Hey! What about us?!" Rose scowled. "US?! Hold on there." Alicia chimed in. "What? You don't wanna take a bath with him?" the rabbit asked, putting the snake on the spot causing her to pull herself back with a flush on her face, muttering in a way they couldn't understand. "Y-You got your prize already!" Alicia point out. "I not get prize!" Serenity argued. "You found out you didn't kill him! That's reward enough!" the snake affirmed, the reminder causing Serenity to freeze and seemingly shatter with her mouth agape before facing forward and sitting in a sulky state, looking down and poking her fingers while Alicia smirked with her nose up in a victorious manner. "H-Hey, don't worry about it!" Chris smiled nervously. "Not mean to..." Serenity pout. "I know! Forget it! You'll still get a reward!" he assured. "Oh come on!!" Alicia snapped. "Y-You all will!" Chris promised with his hand up. "You've all behaved pretty well and stuff, and you've all been through a lot. Plus the work at the shrine... You all deserve something nice! Just give me a little time to think of some stuff and plan things out." he nodded. Reaching the entrance, the group saw the main building of the onsen towering above the wall before they rounded the carriage through the gate.

"Aurem Onsen..." Chris muttered. "Eh? What now?" Rose asked. "That's what the sign over the entrance said. It's called Aurem Onsen." he clarified. "Aurem?" Alicia added, tilting her head curiously as they made their way along the parking lot. "That's a big building..." Rose point out in awe. "Well, it has to be in order to support all the tourists and locals that come through here, especially now what with the Aurora Festival pretty much being the biggest thing that happens around these parts." Chris point out as they neared the entrance, finally stopping the carriage before stretching with a sigh. "Here we are!" he smiled, the girls standing and stretching themselves before climbing down. "This place is pretty neat. It's like a cabin but more... Pointy?" Rose point out. "Well, it's kind of an oriental thing. If you head over to places more toward the east, it's pretty common for buildings to have this kind of design." Chris explained as Alicia slithered out and looked around. "Normally it's only in the eastern regions you'll find places like this, so we're really lucky." Chris chuckled while grabbing his staff and climbing down himself. "Well, at least we'll have a descent place to stay for a short while." Alicia nodded while joining the group. "Hey now, the carriage has been good! We've been able to bond more because of it. At least, I'd like to think so... Besides, in the carriage or in a room, you girls still smother me just as much when we sleep so the space isn't much different to me!" he laughed, all three scowling at him before Serenity and Rose gave him agitated nudges in his sides using their elbows. "O-Ow! Hey! That hurts!" he snapped as the two crossed their arms. "Sorry we smother." Serenity pout with a "hrmph!" as she faced away.

"Yeah, maybe we'll just give you all the space you want here after all." Rose nodded before facing away with her nose up in the same "hrmph!" type of manner. "I-It was a joke! K-Kidding!" Chris panicked with a nervous laugh, trying to coax the two into looking at him. "C-C'mon! I love sleepin' with you! I don't mind! I like it!" he assured, the two smirking slyly before facing him. "We know." they replied simultaneously. "W-Wait, wha?" Chris asked, blinking at the two before scowling. "Hey!! That's playing dirty!!" he lectured, the two laughing at his response before apologizing and patting his back. "You're all so immature..." Alicia sighed while slithering past. "If we're staying here, should we not make sure there's a room for us to stay in? While the lot of you goof around this place could be booked by others! I'd much rather secure one of those private rooms you mentioned for ourselves before that happens." she affirmed. "Snake want to hurry to private place so she can..." Serenity scowled, the snake flushing and cutting her off with an embarrassed "that's not it!!" in response, gritting her teeth and growling. "You don't have to respond THAT strongly." Chris laughed with slight sweat on his face. "J-Just come on." Alicia scowled before facing the entrance and making her way along, grumbling in agitation. "Hey, not need to get mad. I feel same way." Serenity shrugged before grinning slyly and dragging a finger along Chris's arm. "Lots of privacy... That why you want to get room like that, right?" she asked, inching toward him causing Chris to inch away with a nervous gulp. "U-Uhh..." he stuttered, blushing shyly. "I can't think of any other reason he'd put so much emphasis on a private room with its own bath." Rose giggled, nudging Chris with a "so naughty" remark causing him to turn all the redder.

"Q-Quit making everything pervy!!" he snapped before walking off toward the entrance, Serenity and Rose looking at one another before smirking with a simultaneous "nailed it" from his reactions as they followed. Once they were inside, the group looked around curiously at the lobby, finding a lounge area to their left and a large fountain against the wall to their right with a large pool at the base, which they discovered was filled with Goldeen and Finneon along with several Gorebyss as they approached, causing their eyes to widen. "Duuuude... It's like an indoor waterfall. This is awesome." Chris grinned. "My word, you humans can be a tad obsessive, can't you?" Alicia asked, looking at all the fish. "I wonder how they got something like this in here. Humans can be really neat." Rose added with a smile. "Eh, it okay. Look nice... We eat them too?" Serenity asked, causing the fish to freeze wide eyed and glance at the group. "Wha? No!" Chris laughed, causing Serenity to blink at him before scowling, the fish sighing in relief before resuming their casual drifting. "They're for decoration. They make the place feel more relaxing. You don't eat the decor." he explained. "You're so adorable." he chuckled, causing Serenity to blush  while facing away embarrassed as he continued looking at all the fish. "Man... Bet you fellas have a pretty good life here." he smiled before looking around and heading to the reception area, the girls heading to the lounge to wait. Sitting among other people, Serenity scowled at them with her arms crossed causing them to jolt and sweat nervously. "How do you do?" Alicia greeted, nodding her head causing the guests to blink at her bewildered, some nodding back with a "h-hello?" type of response.

"Sorry if we're bothering you. We're here with him." Rose point out with a nervous smile, the group looking toward Chris before facing the rabbit with an equally bewildered look. "I-It's telepathy. We can talk thanks to her. It's like a bubble, ya see?" Rose explained, getting an "ahhh..." from the group before they warily focused on papers and magazines they were reading, others distracting themselves with mobile devices and watching the TV hanging from above. "Blech... Back with humans." Serenity complained, having manipulated her psychic between the three of them. "Oh it's not that terrible. Although they could be a tad more refined, I suppose they can't be blamed for their responses." Alicia sighed. "Humans just aren't used to Pokemon talking is all. Not our kinds anyway. We don't have telepathy normally." Rose point out before showing a curious look. "I... Don't think?" she added, tilting her head. "Beyond me, there are many odd things our species can learn, especially if our parents are mixed from two entirely different ones. I can say I find it doubtable either of us are capable of such an ability. Even when species are mixed, there are still limitations." Alicia point out. "I guess so. Would be kinda neat to do all that crazy mind stuff though!" Rose giggled. "Crazy?" Serenity asked, raising an eyebrow causing the rabbit to jolt and wave her hands nervously. "I-I didn't mean it like that! Not in a bad way! Crazy NEAT is what I meant!" she assured. Looking around, Serenity noticed a man next to her giving a curious glance, causing her to toss a suddenly furious expression his way making the man jolt and sweat before shoving his face in his paper. "Hate humans. Hate. Hate hate hate..." Serenity began growling, tapping her foot impatiently along with her irritated expression causing those near her to either inch away or warily leave the lounge altogether with nervous smiles.

"Oh come now. We'll not be here long. And while we ARE here we'll be in private accommodations. Can't you behave long enough for us to reach our room at least? Unsettling these humans will get us kicked out before we even HAVE a room." Alicia lectured. Relaxing her foot, Serenity sighed with a "fine" in response before looking at a nearby woman and forcing a smile, offering a stiff wave and a "high human" causing the woman to turn a slightly pale color while waving back with a nervous smile. "That good?" Serenity asked while looking at Alicia, the woman she'd greeted scooting several seats away. "Uhh... Sure... How about you skip greeting them and just, well, sit there?" the snake suggested. "Whatever." Serenity scowled, slumping in her chair while they waited for Chris to register them, Serenity taking the opportunity while he was away to act like she was using people for target practice while they weren't looking, even slyly shooting a dark bullet from her finger just past a random passerby's head, causing the person to jolt and look around as if a bug has brushed his hair. "S-Serenity!!" Rose snapped. "I not hit human. Relax." Serenity scowled, waving her hand. "You're certainly eager to take advantage of his absence, aren't you?" Alicia chimed in. "Leave alone. You WANT me to hit human?" Serenity warned, casually taking aim with her finger at another person's head. "I'm back!!" Chris chimed in, his sudden greeting causing the girls to jump with a collective shout in surprise. "W-Woah there. Edgy much? Relax!" he laughed. "If you girls are that jumpy then it really is a good thing we finally got here when we did." he chuckled. "S-So--o... Get room wanted?" Serenity asked, laughing nervously with her hand behind her head as she cancelled out the dark energy around her finger.

"Yeah! I got us a really special one actually. You girls are gonna love it for sure." he grinned. "A private room and a special one too? I bet that cost a lot." Rose smiled in the same nervous manner as Serenity. "Ehh, what's a little extra when it comes to you? Only the best for the lights of my life!" he praised. "Yes... Light." Alicia replied, glancing at Serenity causing the Pokemon to scowl at her with a grunt. "Is uh... Something wrong?" Chris asked, looking between the girls. "Oh no. Nothing at all." Alicia shrugged. "Y-Yeah. All's good." Rose assured. "We just feel weird sitting alone so close to humans again. Not worry. Forget it." Serenity smiled. "I-It hasn't been that long." Chris smiled with slight sweat on his face. "Then again, I guess it's not hard to understand, what with the past and all... I'm sure you girls will find a way to feel more comfortable with other people in time though." he nodded. "The staff will take care of the carriage and Rapidash for us. Since so many people rely on them here they have a place set up where he'll be just as comfortable as we are and the carriage will be perfectly sa." he assured, cut off when Serenity replied with an "I not think so." and smirking, walking up to him and twirling her finger on his chest. "I think we be much more comfy." she giggled. Blinking at her, Chris glanced away with a blush and nodded, responding with a "y-yeah" and smiling slightly. "So, where is this room of ours?" Alicia asked. "Oh, since it comes with its own spring, we're on the first floor of course. We just go down that hall there to the left." he point out before lifting a bag he'd had in his hand. "I even bought a new kimono for myself!" he grinned. If you girls are ready, we can go check it out." he offered.

Nodding in response, the girls followed him through the lobby and down the hall he'd been instructed to follow. "I gotta admit, I was caught off guard at that reception desk. They asked about you girls and Pokeballs so I had to spend a minute explaining things to them. Since it's a moral issue they understood though." he smirked. "What was the problem?" Alicia asked. "Well, they're not used to guests having Pokemon with them lingering around. Not ones your sizes anyways. Most people seem to keep their Pokemon... Err..." he paused, glancing away uncomfortably. "Put up... If you catch my drift." he point out. "Ohhh... They like it better when Pokemon are in those things here?" Rose asked. "Y-Yeah." he nodded. "I guess it also helps that I offered to pay for you as guests too instead of Pokemon, so that kinda persuaded them too in a way." he revealed. "Humans..." Serenity growled, her eye twitching in agitation. "D-Don't worry about it. Remember, we're just here to relax and have a good time. Don't let small things like that ruin the whole experience! Lets just focus on each other, okay?" he coaxed, holding Serenity close with his arm around her. Looking at him for a moment, Serenity let out a sigh before smiling with a nod. "Okay..." she agreed, resting her head on his shoulder. "Atta girl! Lets all have a good time!" he grinned, Rose nodding as well while Alicia did the same. "It can't be helped. Humans are simply that way. We've our own kin to blame to a degree I suppose for allowing them to become the way they have." the snake sighed. "Well, lets just put it behind us." Chris affirmed before pausing. "Ah, this is our number." he muttered, looking above the door before using a card in is coat pocket to unlock it. "Ladies first!" he smiled, offering to let them pass.

Gathering inside, the girls paused with bewildered expressions, finding a small square room with only a small table and cushions around it within. "This... Is your special, private accommodations?" Alicia asked. "H-How much did you pay for this?" Rose added with a nervous laugh. "There no spring bath!! What deal?! Those humans rip off?!" Serenity snapped. "Ha ha! No, no. Hang on..." Chris coaxed, setting his staff on the floor next to the table and heading to the wall before them and sliding it open, the girls freezing in surprise as he exposed a massive living area beyond. "Oooohhhh..." they replied simultaneously, blinking in surprise before passing him and looking around. "Now THIS more like it." Serenity nodded. "Trippy... A room beyond a room. I mean, beyond a wall." Rose added. "It's meant to be more of an authentic, traditional kind of touch." Chris chuckled. "You've got the living and dining area's to hang out in, you've got a huge beg to sprawl out on. And..." he paused, heading toward the wall past the living area before pushing it open as well. "Tadaa!!" he grinned, revealing the wooden porch beyond leading to a large, steamy spring outside, several large rocks sticking up from within and a sprawling view of the mountains beyond. "You've got the left and right completely walled off for privacy, and since the end there is a cliff, they left the wall out so it could be a scenic view! Pretty sweet, eh?" he asked as the girls stood in silence. "These walls are actually screens so you can open and close em whenever ya want. And since you can't see through em that adds onto the privacy too whenever one of us is using the spring!" he explained. Making their way past, the girls stepped outside and toured the area.

While they explored, Chris smirked and returned to the table in the dining room, setting his bag down and taking out his new kimono. "Lets try you out..." he nodded before heading into their bathroom and changing while the girls were preoccupied. Once he was finished, he stepped back out and sat at the table, putting his clothes in the bag and relaxing. "Alri--ight." he chuckled, noticing a fan on the table. Picking it up, he looked it over before shrugging and using it on himself, letting out a relieved sigh. "Not a bad day. Poured out some emotions, made some good distance. Got us a nice place to hang..." he muttered, looking at the girls as they tested the water. "They seem pretty happy." he grinned. "Not bad at all!" he nodded while watching them...

Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 120
Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 128
Some time ago, a young man named Chris, now 23, discovered he was chosen to carry a curse passed onto him through his bloodline by a Ninetales his grandfather saved long ago, having grabbed its sacred tails to save it from falling to its demise. Burdened with this fate, which the young man now calls a blessing, Chris accepts the life chosen for him and allows the curse to guide him freely in life, destined to forever put others before himself, to forever follow the path the curse guides him along towards those in need most...

Along his journey thus far, Chris has come across a Ralts who was abandoned by her former trainer for being blind, hurled off the edge of a cliff and left to die that has since evolved into a full fledged Gardevoir by his side, swearing her life to the young man with the mysterious and terrifying ability to use the power of a Shadow Pokemon, granting her the title of a mysterious new Shadow Hybrid... Also traveling by his side is a Snivy who has since become a Servine, abandoned by her former trainer for refusing to evolve after a terrifying battle she had with a Serperior that left her mentally scarred, resulting in her former trainer neglecting and starving her in an attempt to persuade her to evolve, until he finally left her to die as well followed by a Buneary who has since evolved into Lopunny, who's former trainer became enraged due to her refusal to battle and tried to kill her off when he discovered she could only evolve via friendship...

Chris has met many people and Pokemon alike along his journey, each left as inspired by his presence as the last... He's nearly sacrificed himself to save Gardevoir and Servine from a deadly attack by a pack of Houndoom, lead by a Mega formed leader by hurling himself off a cliff to catch the two and nearly dying... Resulting in his lengthy stay in a location called Millennium City where he provided a hospital full of children an awe inspiring play room full of wonders any child would adore... Saved thousands of Pokemon eggs from dying out when their colossal incubation system malfunctioned in one of the cities many centers, and it's the location he saved Lopunny when she was a Buneary from being struck by a massive truck after being hurled into the highway by her former trainer... He's met and inspired a kindhearted old butler named Gerald who served the group during their stay in the city, and even came across the mysterious N from the Pokemon series, inspiring even this strange person during his stay in the city resulting in Chris being deemed a man worthy of keeping an eye on...

Most recently, Chris had become a criminal during his efforts to free Lopunny from her former trainer altogether, having forced his way into the city's top prison the man was held within and taking not only the Pokeball belonging to Lopunny, but taking all of his other Pokeballs to free the Pokemon within them as well only to discover the mans father was the Warden of that very prison in the process. Finding himself intrigued by Chris, the Warden gave him a chance to avoid prison time by revealing he was also the city's Gym Leader, striking a deal that if he won he would be pardoned of all crimes and allowed to leave the city.

Before the day of the match arrived, Chris found himself becoming close friends with the city's top scientist, Professor Rose, and together along with her staff they managed to complete Project Celebi, a device that could transplant sight between two people without surgery! The project turned out to be a success after Chris offered the sight in his left eye to give Gardevoir the ability to see the world for the first time via her right!

After this, the time for his showdown with the Warden arrived, and after a lengthy two part battle, Chris turned out the victor with the support of all those attending the event and beyond... To thank them for fighting for his sake, Chris gave Gardevoir, Servine, and Lopunny their own unique names, gaining the titles Serenity, Alicia, and Rose respectively, with Lopunny being named after the professor who had done so much for the group during their stay in the city...

After regaining his freedom, Chris and the girls spent a week at Arthur and Angela's massive manor on the outskirts of the city, followed by a first class cruise aboard the brand new S.S. Guardian, the first pollutant free ship in the world relying solely on solar power reservoirs! With its maiden voyage celebrating the 100th anniversary of the loss of the R.M.S. Arceanic, fate played its hand along their way to Arcticu Valley and led the Guardian to the exact location of the ships wreckage. Attacked by a massive Gyarados swarm, the Guardian was sank to the bottom of the sea, protected by a barrier crafted by Serenity which resulted in the discovery of the remains of the legendary ship.

In turn, many truths came to light in the dark depths, and after garnering the aid of the souls aboard the remains of the vessel, the Guardian managed to return to the surface of the sea once more and the Gyarados were defeated! Criminals were justly punished, a company was repossessed, and Chris was given total ownership of the entirety of the Arceanic wreck site! And now, they've finally arrived at their destination, and many more adventures are about to unfold...

Great chapter as always! However, not every chapter starts as emotionally as this. Here and there we got small insight about how Chris felt about his stay at his grandpas’ house. But getting it here summarized and a bit details on why, was touching… too bad his grandpa passed away and he can’t stop Chris from his negative thinking about his role in his (grandpas’) life. Luckily the girls heard what he had to say and could cheer him up. They had good stuff to say to Chris. Wish I could find the right words in sudden moments like Chris and the girls do…

The emotional stuff aside.
I knew it and you set me on the wrong track about it the time I first assumed it! Your comment.
The glowing orb that settled down in the Pokeball in which the ash of Chris grandpa is sealed in, is his grandpas’ soul. Everything points to it. But I’m not angry about it, thinking it more over and getting the evidence for it was still fun.

Speaking of (over)thinking about stuff, I wonder if the chilly feeling Chris got while approaching the crossroad was just a goodbye kind of stuff or if we can expect more to happen soon.
To continue my overthinking, Aurem… ear or listening... listening Onsen? Is there a reason behind it?

Aurem Onsen = Yin Yang Onsen

It's a combination of Aurora and Kyurem, with Kyurem often symbolizing Yin and Yang basically and the Aurora Borealis often a natural thing of peace and beauty itself.

Damnit! And here I thought my Latin lessons from school were finally of some use. xD
