Hey, all! There's this little project I've been working on for a while now. Probably... four-ish months, and I've been working on it on and off, splitting my time between life, writing, my Asteroids-Undertale fusion--called Asteroidtale (which I will post up soon!), and this. This project has taken up a lot of my time, mainly because I'm doing everything from scratch.
Now, though... Now it's time for me to showcase what I've been working on! I have been working on a visual novel engine! :D Right now, until I have more experience with Python and/or .NET Desktop development, this project is only in the works for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), and because of that, it will work on any Windows 10 device. Unfortunately... it won't work on anything else.
That said, if there's anyone out there who'd be willing to impart their knowledge of Python or .NET Desktop, I'd be wonderfully grateful. >~<
Anyway, I wanted to show what I've been up to! The first two screenshots are the program running on my 1080p laptop, and the last four are running on my Lumia 640, which has a 720p screen running at 150% scaling.
For those of you who might not recognize the scene, it's from my story Welcome to the Cub Club!. These assets in the screenshots are made with Oob's character creator, because I unfortunately don't have money to commission assets of my own. Hopefully, I will in the near future!
If any of you with Windows 10 devices are interested in testing this engine, along with the novel that I'm putting in there, which happens to be my Cub Club story, then leave a comment here, send me a PM, or contact me on Skype, Discord, or, if you want to get in contact with me quickly, Telegram.
I'll try to post regular updates about this, and hopefully, I'll try to get a port in the works, too. :3
Ren'py is just too limiting for what I want to do. It's very static and can only change resolution by code, whereas this app is completely fluid when it comes to resolution and not nearly as static-looking. Maybe I'll use Ren'py for the Mac and Android versions, but I prefer using my own technology. :)

Hey, sorry about taking so long to reply to this comment, but... nothing's really gonna happen with this project, unfortunately. It's not something I really want to do anymore. I'd rather make full games if I ever tried something like this again, so maybe keep an eye out for that if you were interested in this. :3
