As Joe remembers the day back then, that there are a moment that his father was fatherly. The pup days, as the father Pete was all right and caring, sometimes.
Joey woke up from a dream, and he was making noises that bought his father in to check up on him, asking what is wrong as the pup said he had nightmares and couldn't go back to sleep.
So Pete had sit down next to his son, and pulls out the book from the drawers as the title was "Christmas Tales". Looking at his pup and pats his head as he then says.
"Want me to read you a story, little one?" As then Joey nodded and tail wags in joy, knowing that tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and his dad is home for the holidays.
Then the father begins the story on Santa Claws, a big happy, jolly, old polar bear that brings toys and gifts to all everywhere in the world. Joey felt safe and happy that his father was home with him and reading him a story that he hardly had for a while.
As Pete finished the story, Little Joey was fast asleep, as then the big wuff tuck his pup in and dim the lights so the little tyke can sleep without any disturb.
The father looks at his boy, and feels sadden and regrets that he can try harder to be a better father, and hopes to make it up for his child, as life and the path he's on, just a mystery to him and hopes to find what he looks for, so he can never be worried, and then be there, for his son. ----------------------- "In times, when we're born. thou are born with fathers that either be there, nor not. But in the end, we can't always pick our fathers, but we can try to adjust, and forgive." --------------------------
I have given my father this picture in a wonderful frame for Christmas, and he held it in his hands, and then he smile at me, with a bit of tears that he wished that things in the past was different.
If you forgive your family or those that you thought don't care for you, maybe you'll let go of the burden past and move on to a better future that you freed from the chains of the past.
