#12: Bisharp

"Bisharp battle for supremacy; the loser is driven out from the group while the winner becomes the boss of the entire horde of Pawniard, which this pitiless Pokemon commands in order to hound prey until they reach immobility. The Bisharp will then deliver the final blow"

Man... Bisharp, talk about one badass Pokemon! It's funny, despite having a general loathing for the designs of the Black/White Pokemon, the ones I do like from that generation, I REALLY like. Hell, my favorite Pokemon of all time-(Scrafty)-came from that generation. Just shows how really hit or miss it was. Despite a brutal weakness to Fighting-types, Bisharp is one awesome Pokemon, it's one that defines both of it's elements to a tee, which isn't always the case as I've shown with many in this countdown. It's unquestionably Steel and Dark and the vibe of both shogun and chess is really damn cool. Honestly, I'm probably taking the chess theme too strongly, as it's probably just an awkward English name choice, but I like it a lot so I'm going with it! Hell, even it's younger form Pawniard is pretty cool, in actuality I really prefer it's face over Bisharp's. If I had it may way I'd swap their heads... so I did! Yeah, it's probably rare to hear me not talk shit out these Pokemon to some degree isn't it? Sorry, but hey I had to put the ones I didn't like as much in first before I really reached the real meat and potatoes. I couldn't bust out all my favorites and then wade through the ones I care significantly less about, ya know? I do honestly like all the ones I added I'm just brutally honest with my tastes and even ones I really, really like, like say Murkrow I will admit to flaws in.

Also as a small bonus, Honedge! Being exactly what it should be... a prop! Yeah, this isn't a case where I'm actually including it as a dual entry because I don't feel the same about Honedge as I do Bisharp. While I don't... HATE Honedged or it's evolutionary family it's, well, come on, it's literally just a sword! While I love swords and I think Aegislash looks a good deal better, it certainly isn't what I'd include as a "Pokemon", this pose just required it to be holding something and instead of 'insert generic weapon here' I popped in a legit thing from the series. Also, shinies! I generally avoided that here, just to sum up the Pokemon in their default looks, I only wanted to do shiny colors if they were color schemes I really liked better then the original and so far none of the Pokemon shown have had shiny colors that I cared much about, if at all. Honedge though, let's face it, looks SO much better in shiny and Bisharp, while I think looks fine as red or blue, I sided with shiny as well because otherwise it was just WAY too much red!
