Her breast plate..? Bronze or leather? Curious about the trim on her shield too.

Her breast plate is leather, a style known as Cuir Bolli , the leather is hardened by soaking it in water then shaping it then coating , a very common armor for those unable to afford a metal breast plate. The shield is a wooden backed with a thin skin of brass or even bronze. the outer skin would give the wood a better life in battle and keep it from splintering
