Ok starting to get back into the swing of things art wise. Was in the mood for something a bit scifi and a bit crinkly and I had this lil sketch around. So here we have the first pic of Kal in a while showing up my Sauroid revisions a bit better I think than the last pic of Talyn. ^^

It's hard to believe fast things can seem to change. One day your on the world you were hatched on and the next your off to a new one. The place you know your people came from a long time ago. But that's ancient history. It doesn't feel real and it might as well be an alien world to you now. Populated by strange creatures. Some of whom make for of you for what is to you and everyone you used to know perfectly normal. But then it happens again and before you know it you have friends here. They understand you and you understand them. And suddenly it doesn't feel strange anymore. Without you even realizing it things are suddenly normal again. A new normal. It feels nice. You feel like you belong.

Kal stretched as he sat on the couch in his PJs. They were ones he'd gotten here on Earth and he'd grown to like them. The sported what Kal now knew was a mythical creature called a Dragon. Sort of like a scaled dino that breathed fire and had an extra set of limbs that were wings. Kal giggled a little at it. Of course it was a mythical creature. Earth and New Earth didn't have hexepod lizards of therapsids or mammals or what have you. Still Kal found the concept neat. He yawned on the couch hugged his blue plush close giving a contented churring sound.

"Well someone sounds tired." Talyn commented as he leaned against the back of the couch.

"Nope just had to yawn. Watching some Human stuff on TV. It's about re-animated dead humans attacking the living and stuff." Kal beamed with a grin.

"Not the new episode is it?" Talyn asked looking up at the screen. Some might have chided him for letting Kal watch such programing. But Kal knew the difference between reality and fiction. This was nothing.

"Nah just a marathon of the last season. I'm almost caught up now." Kal said leaning back with a soggy squish and looked up at his big bro.

"Ah. Well anyway pause it cuz it sounds like someone's got a soggy bottom." Talyn teased with a smirk.

"Oh who? You?" Kal teased back with the same smirk.

"Oh ha ha. Come on back to your room for a change. I don't want you springing a leak on the couch." Talyn persisted.

"Awww Ok." Kal sighed giving in as he popped to his feet with his plush still in one arm.

"And only one more episode after this. Otherwise you won't get much sleep and then you'll be cranky all morning tomorrow because you can't get yourself to sleep in." Talyn told him as the walked down the hall.

"Oh alright." Kal groaned rolling his eyes as they walked into his room which sported a variety of posters from back home and new ones from Earth. Looking back at Talyn as he readied the changing supplies he asked. "Wanna watch the last one with me?"

"Sure thing lil bro." Talyn smiled and ruffled Kal's head feathers earning chirps and giggles from the young sauroid.

With that Talyn was quick to change his lil brother's diaper. He was a practiced hand at it and likely would be for a while yet. Kal could change himself of course by now but there was just something about being changed he didn't want to quite give up yet. Talyn truth be told didn't want to give up the familiar ritual just yet either. It was a quite bonding moment with the two. They were all they had. Well not quite. The had Resh. The large Mountain Breed would die for either of them without hesitation. Tonight however he was busy putting the local academy recruits through nocturnal training. Wouldn't be back until morning which left the brothers to each other's company. Kal didn't mind as he hopped down off the changing table once in a fresh diaper and lead the way back to the couch. The two got comfy and continued their show snuggled up together. It really was starting to feel like home. Now that they'd had a chance to get Settled In.
