A commission I made for Deviantart user emr0304 of their character Shimmering Sheild (yes, I spelled it as the owner wants it to be). The armor was really challenging to sculpt and the cape I made by using one of the embroidery stitch settings on my sewing machine - made it look extra nice without extra work lol The gems are made of glass.
actually I used an old school image transfer method I learned from my mom when I was a kid because she would do calligraphy on plaques. I printed out the image I wanted, covered the backside in graphite (took a regular pencil to the back and marked all over it with the side of the lead) then put the picture right side up over the base where i wanted it, taped it in place and took a ballpoint ink pen and traced over all the lines I wanted to transfer. When I removed the image, just faint graphite lines of what I had drawn was left and then I painted it from there :D

I do have a lot of small brushes. I prefer to use nylon or Taklon brushes because they stay in shape best :D the paint I use is jacquard neopaque and lumiere and it's really good about going on smooth with very few coats. My tiny woman's hands make it easier for me to paint small too :D
