This world that we, humans, live in is only a tiny fraction of the universe. And this universe is just one of the many, many worlds that exist in the infinity. Sometimes, these worlds that are so far apart meet. Magical creatures have been known to cross dimensions and travel between these worlds. They even visit us, on our little blue planet. When magic is present, even the tiniest little amount, portals can form. They emit light and show the path to the new world, for anyone who is curious and brave enough to cross. A portal like that was spotted by a little foxy nymph - a spinning, sparkling spiral of ether. As she came closer she saw a spring forest, just on the break of dawn. The sun's gentle caress was warm and inviting. Just a step forward and the nymph found herself in the new world. A bit nervous, the she looked back at the fading portal. "There is no going back" she thought. Exploring this new place filled her with excitement. She was flying around, running and climbing and poncing. As she was just getting down from a rock she got startled - a big, bright-colored fox suddenly appeared in front of her. She stood still, looking into the other fox's eyes. They appeared to be closed but she felt as if she is being looked at. "What are you?" the nymph asked. The other fox tilted her head to the left and made few swift moves with her... tail? "A fan!?". "Yes" nodded the foxfan "I'm Morning Dew. Or at least that's what they call me for now, i don't have a human yet to name me". Both foxes looked at each other in silence for a while. "I don't have a human as well" said the nymph "I used to follow dream kitsumeras around but I strayed and got lost... Where are we now?" she asked after a short pause. The foxfan turned her head back and looked in the distance. There was a bright, rainbow light emitted from an ornamented door. The door was open but it was too far away for the nymph to see. "We are in Zaki's room" said Morinig Dew. "Zaki's room?". "Yes. It's a magic room. Zaki-chan can do a little magic and she opened the first portal years ago. Many magical critters came around from different worlds and now there are many portals." the foxfan explained. "But this is a forest!". "It is, and it isn't. I myself don't understand it yet, I haven't been here long. The others can explain better. Come to meet them!" she said, turned around and headed towards the door. The nymph hesitated for a moment. She looked back to where she came from - there was still no sign of the portal she came from. "Oh well," she said to herself "It's a big new world out there." |
