Okay, so I went from "Geez I'm terrible at this." to "Holy shit, I've done it!" in just an hour in terms of lineless art lol. The solution had actually been with me for about a week, and I never knew- The method was used for making clean shadings. Now, I'm using it to aid my lineless art endeavor.

What I Did:
1. Make a outlines of the desired parts/pieces. (hair, muzzle etc.) 2. Then fill it with the same color in a layer before or below it. (Make sure both layers are at 100% opacity and Normal during this step before the merge.) 3. Merge both the outline and fill layers together! Do these 3 steps for each piece.
4. After you pieces are made, put each of your pieces in separate folders. 5. Making your shading/lighting/or whatever layers above the base pieces. Remember to check the Clipping Group box for each layer above the now "base pieces"! 6. Go crazy, get creative, work it out etc!
Just used the method for creating each lineless piece, clip group the pieces, shade, then use whatever afterward. The Clipping Group was the most important tool for this all to work.

Don't really know.. I just go big, I guess.. When I take my first dive at stuff, it's usually a good one because I take new things and do it the hell up. With 'this' submission, the color designated outline & fill method made it pretty simple. It's not too much different from making my usual line arts. Just separate each piece, then touch them up individually.
The fancy shading and lighting techniques I've learned over the past half year or more came after pieces were made- Experimenting.

lol well i guess that makes sense. sorry im just being a tad salty again cuz i spent like 4-5 hours doing a thing i was proud of and then you put out something that took 1 hour with no experience and its just a head and it STILL looks better lol

Nah, some experience still applied here. Take my linearts into consideration, then take how simple the first 3 steps are. And wallah! New strategy combined with experienced elements.. I've been looking at lineless arts for a long time, thinking about how people make them (Jealousy lol). Once I found the golden method, things just clicked on how I wanted this to look and how to do it.
