Another game idea I thought of when thinking I should start with something a bit more simple. I like to think and talk about these more than I do trying to learn how to make them.
This image was a simple one to show some minor stuff and the sizes of three differently sized characters.
I was thinking of a Sonic Battle like arena fighter. One that was more grid based though, so that attacks could land better. The movement would feel more like old RPG games. Where it feels like you can freely move, but you're actually moving on a grid. The idea for this was to have an arena where you fight other characters using your own attacks, specials, and items you find on the field. The levels will have some enemies that you can defeat to boost your own stats to over power your opponents. They'll be some side events (super hero themed) like helping an old lady cross the street to help boost your stats as well. Some levels will have stage hazards and bosses. Most character won't have blocking, so the game plays around attack tells and dodging. Combos won't be a big thing, but attacks will do high damage. That's all I can remember for now.
