That's a lot of detail in the background. Did you "toon" over a photo of something or draw it all?
Wildcat does look younger there, it could be a class scene. He is recognizable as himself. Very good job on the hands holding the wrenches. Color works for tho most part but the shadowing might be a bit too deep on Wildcat's jacket.

I'm not going to brag but, I'm an engineering student myself, and I really enjoy technical drawing. Those drawings are mostly schematics involving machine designs or blueprints involving floor plans.
Well some artists are really talented, they can draw exactly what they see and they do it really accurate! I'm just learning to become one, but for now, I'm still way too rookie for them XD . For the jet engine I drew, it's just made from flat colors and soft shaded it to make it look 3D. I also have a little knowledge of optics and study how light travels and cause lighting on objects. So it's good if you noticed the highlights of the edges of the jet engine which caused by the igniting nozzle.
For the hands, I'm really into anatomy and I don't know what realistic hands are so awesome, and honestly it's really hard to master, I always use my hands for reference and still I can't draw hands well without looking at them.
The mistake I've learned from shading is that I was dark shading all the time. ^^ Well dark shading wasn't always the case, it makes things look more rigid and rough, soft shading in the other hand make things soft.
