Not quite. Her soul reincarnated as an entirely new person, Marshmallow. Meanwhile, the robot has inherited a copy of her memories and personality.

Wether that makes them the same person, different people or something else is a long philosophical debate.

Wouldn't that make Marshmallow and the Robot(Golem) two half's of the same whole? Sine one is a reincarnation while the other has the copied memories. That's a cruel and sick joke but fascinating in a way. Since it's all part of the original. If that's how reincarnation works......than it's a depressing discovery.

I feel like Rarity should know the truth. I'm not trying to tell you how to do the story. I'm just saying that that's what I would have done. I'm not saying I'd have Twilight tell her though. I'd have her figure it out on her own. Then there would be the coming to terms with the fact that her sister IS there...and in two different forms no less. It'd be difficult, but interesting. Also, perhaps Sweetie Bo...Golem should know too. I know it might be difficult for her at first. But perhaps Sweetie Belle's memories can find a kind of comfort (even if it's an awkward one) with the knowledge that her memories lived on while she was also taking care of...herself. It might make Sweetie Golem feel even more protective of Marshmallow.
