The mind is a fragile and dangerous thing. Once broken it cannot be as easily healed as broken bones or injured flesh. But even if the mind whole there is still something lurking inside, very old and very powerful. It is the source of those thoughts you are scared you had after they have formed.
Its neverending onslaught tears at the foundation of mind and heart. You cannot fight it, you cannot defeat it, you can only stall. Yet in this struggle the mind is forged into the potent instrument it is. Without the dark, without troubles or worries what would be there left to overcome?
To deny it, is to turn the back. So don't be surprised when you loose yourself.
(Consider this a work in progress. It's not even close how I envisioned it. When I had time to let it settle I might work some more on it)
