It's okay. You probably just guessed what I accidentally did. I now know how to get past her without having to destroy, though, and I feel foolish for not persisting like I tried to do for a while in the beginning! There'll be a new playthrough, in any case, provided I managed to get to the end of the game at least once.

I you already killed her I think you will get a neutral playtrough (I think one is enough to get it) and that last boss (no spoilers) is horrifying, like something out of Madoka.

I'm not familiar with Madoka, but that's okay. I've since restarted the entire game and now everyone has survived my "wrath"; I've been avoiding the FIGHT option like it's the plague. I know I can't get the True Ending the first time around, but at least I'm finding out how to make sure every "boss" survives and lives. Mettaton's first appearance really freaked me out, though!
