Well, I finished the skeletoning and such so now Kao can move.....! Sort of.. (apologize for the creepy shadow effects. I still have some work to do which I'll explain below)
There's still a lot of work I need to do. For one. The eyes and hair are all separate objects and not part of the main body mesh (which made them easier to model), so when the head moves, the eyes and hair just float there. I'll need to figure out how to fix that.
The second part is that the face needs to be rigged and smoothed out so Kao can make expressions and such. Right now, the only thing I can really make him do is open his jaw a little, but that stretches his whole face unfortunately if I do it too much, so I need to fiddle around with that.
Beyond that, the legs and feet all move very smoothly based on what I'd be satisfied with. With enough time, I could make him walk, run (as this pose is showing). I wanted to make him stand up on his back legs, but since I can't move his head without messing up his face because of the issue mentioned above, I settled with this. I also made this a render because I ... forgot how to hide the bones after posing Kao. (the rest of the parts like the position of his eye I moved manually. 3D modeling is really a lot about setting up a shot and taking a snap shot, and saving LOTS of back ups so that if the editing messed up the model, you have a back up that's clean and fixed).
Anyway, hope you like it. Kao Ninjaratzu is copyright to me. I'll see what more I can do when I get home tomorrow.
