This is an image of Animata as drawn by Nicholas Katzfey of www.rubberpunk.com
Also from Geek Kon.
I decided I wanted to show off another one of Animata's powers, her ability to produce objects from any pocketys she happens to have, whether they be small things like kazoos or large things like anvils. Here, she demonstrates with a mallet. This one actually took a while for me to negotiate down to because I was not entirely clear about what constituted a proper commission within my budget.
Which brings us to another important note for anyone who wishes to commission other artists: It is not the job of the artist to accommodate your budget. You have to do that yourself by choosing artists what are within your price range. Admittedly, there wasn't a price list out there, so by "negotiating," I mean I was asking about what price it would be to go with an image I am interested in (but not too attached to) and then trying to pare down to what would be a better price for me (and similarly, less hellish for the artist to work on at a convention).
