He is something that I've been drawing a lot lately. I suppose it's fitting, knowing this year. :B

Glad you like it.

yeah KoS is sort of my one weakness XP

He's fun to draw, but also kind of a pain due to the sides of his face. :P

What exactly is "KoS"?

The King of Sorrow. A character from Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.

Ah, gotcha.  Never owned any of the Klonoa games, and only played a small portion of the first game; not enough to know of any of the characters other than, of course, Klonoa.

Yeah, he's the main villain, and he's awesome!

Gotcha!

If you got any interest, I'd recommend trying the two main games out at least.

Dunno if I can, seeing as I no longer have any gaming consoles.  I don't know, however, if maybe I could somehow get a decent console emulator?  I might need to recheck for what console the first two Klonoa games are on.

Nnn, for emulators you can only play the first one (PS1). However the second one is known to have issues on emulators (PS2)

Well, maybe if I can get a decent PS1 emulator on my laptop, as well as a ROM of the first Klonoa game, maybe I could at least attempt to finish that one!

Just know that it's a pretty easy game. The second one is a bit more difficult than the first one.

Perhaps if I had all my wits about myself, which lately I don't; games that I've been told are easy have become a nightmare for me to play lately.

Hmmm, I dunno. I ended this game with 34 lives, and I *never* have that many lives in a platformer.

Sudden memories of the original Super Mario Bros. and using the "infinite lives trick" and finally beating the game with, what was it... W Cloud lives.  XD

That, however, was back when I was still generally good at games.  Nowadays, I have to put any game I play on Easy, and even then I have a ridiculous amount of trouble getting anywhere like I used to be able to do.

No such thing is possible in Klonoa. There are life coins, and the lives you get from collecting 100 dreamstones. Beating enemies doesn't give you lives at all~

Well, yes, but from what I was able to tell, it's also an entirely different game.  Like I said, I played a portion of it, just not the entire game because I didn't own a copy of it, myself.

Just don't fall down pits and you'll be golden. Really, the enemies in the game are not too threatening, minus the bosses. Some of the bosses are a sudden difficulty spike, for example, your arch-nemesis in the game; he's a jerk.
terrymouse

Well, that's usually the case with an arch-nemesis.  I mean, imagine how disappointing the last boss of a game would be if the boss was just stupid simple (I'm looking at you, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night >.<)?  Otherwise, that's normally the case with side-scrolling platformers – avoiding pits.

The arch-nemesis in this game isn't even the final boss. He's actually the fifth boss!

Well, I wish you luck on the 2.5D platforming. :V

Oh, really?  Huh.  Well, then.

Thanks, in any case!

Thank you~! It's a bit older now, and I may do something similar later, but that depends on whether or not I have the time. :B
