This one's for my good friend Noburo. Felines aren't really my strongpoint, but I do like how it came out. Figured I'd have him fiddling with his ankleband there. Maybe he's gettin' ready to go out or something! The background was something I had thought of before, but ended up changing it a little bit. I'm pretty satisfied with it *Nods*

There isn't a single thing I could pick out. It's a combination of pose, facial expression, colouring all merged together. Oh and you do felines very well.

Okay, I'll admit it: The paws drew me in (from the thumbnail). This is a fine bit of work, my dear fox. There's a sense of anticipation and excitement in the kitten's eyes that tells me that he is indeed about to dash off for a bit of adventure in his summer environs. You've done well with proportion and perspective, and the overall effect is one of "the simple joys of kittenhood" (if Lerner and Lowe will forgive me for stealing a bit of their song lyric). I like the color and design, the pose of the character ... all wonderful. (And I've gone off like this since you were looking for specifics earlier.) Mind if I give you a Watch? I'd like to see more.
