Character Sheet for Illiad Khan
Illiad Khan, a kind and happy fellah, a bit cocky at times, but fun to be around. Decending from a group of Tribal wolves he moved to the city some time ago, but still hasn't shaken off his tribal ways (if he clicks with his tongue, it means he sees something he likes)
He got stamped as part of his maturity ritual at the age of 16, and now bears the mark of his tribe. He loves to surf and just randomly hang out. Favourite food: Spicy Chicken with Hot Sauce. =D
Happy-Go-Lucky most days, protective of those he likes and considers his friends. He always has time for them or else he makes time for them. He isn't violent by nature although he will defend himself or anyone around him if threatened.
Likes: Spicy Chicken and Hot Sauce (spicy food in general), guys, games, movies, and overall general fun time ^^
Dislikes: Liars, Cheats and bullies.
He moved to the city when he was in his early twenties to go to school there and he kinda hung around afterward. He still hasn't gotten used to all the city ways (Being fully clothed all the time is one of them) and still maintain certain elements of his native upbringing as a matter of honour and because he sees no need to adapt any further to citylife.
Something always remain a mystery for him, like the strange attitude city-folk have to sex and finding someone attractive (back home they make a clicking sound and let the whole world know they are interested). Also he sometimes fails to pick of subtle social cues.
Illiad isn't sure he is going to stay in the city all his life, at times he longs to be back home, because he does not always understand the city and its inhabitants, but at times the city is the place he wants to be, the noise, the constant motion, all the wonderfully new things. He has made friends here, his roommate being one of them, and he would loath to leave them behind, still he loves his tribal homeland. It is not a question if he will ever go back, with or without someone he loves, but only when. For now though, he is enjoying himself.
2 Brothers, 1 Sister, and of course his parents.
He comes from a tribal background of wolf people now living in what could be best described as a reserve where his fellows still live honouring the ancient ways they always have... with the added convenience of modern medicine and certain aspects of modern technology. Phones and televisions are rather pointless, since it is doubtful they would be in reach of any celltower or electricity output.
The land on which they live is pristine, untouched and beautiful. His tribe still follows the semi-nomadic way of live it always has and still wears the traditional garbs, a simple loincloth, that is much more convenient when hunting, though less so when making the occassional trip to the supermarket. Still the locals have gotten used to it by now, the tourists less so.
When a child, regardless of gender, becomes 16 they undergo a right of passage stooped in secrecy and his rewarded with the mark of their clan that gets 'stamped' (a traditional way of providing fur tattoo's, which is more permanent and a lot more painful then getting a normal skin tattoo) on a part of their body signalling they are of age.
They are not hostile to the city or the modern worlds and many of them move freely between the reserve and the rest of the country, yet almost all return back to the reserve when they grow old to live out their days as their ancestors did.
Athletic, strong and agile with the 'torch' tattoo on his left shoulder.
He prefers to wear wide jeans and expose as much of his body as is socially acceptable, in the city that means short or jeans and a tank-top. At home it means the traditional loincloth fastened out of two y shaped pieces of cloth that cover the pubis and rear area and two longer flaps of cloth or leather fastened over it to protect them even further.
