So, this happened. I've been wanting to try some new art styles for some time, the old stuff is looking less and less pleasing the more I do, so I might as well experiment! This one is pretty quick, I kept some aspects of my old style, but used more comic influences. I also changed up some of the anatomy I was using and think that was the biggest success.

Thanks! It's something I think I've been slacking on a bit, so might as well pick that ball up again.

I'm envious, I only started drawing anatomy last year. Your drawing is so believable if that makes any sense.

I'm reading Bridgmans' Complete Guide to drawing from life at the moment to get to grips with muscles. Such an intense book but so helpful!

Anatomy is always tricky and one of those thing that takes a LOT of study. I tracked down a copy of Bridgman's and just gave it a skim. It is very intense but detailed...though I'll have to give it a better look because I'm see lots that I don't do and should/want to. The thing that I find extremely useful is flipping through newer comics, they are exaggerated usually but can have good shadows showing the forms depending on the artist.

Best of luck :)
