Mundus had been a powerful sorcerer for quite some time, learning his ability early and refusing to do harm with the power. He had made his own choices in life early on to train himself at a rather secluded shrine he had merely heard rumors about. With luck, he made it there by foot and looked worse for wear.
As he began his training with another, Blith, and vowed to protect the shrine with his life. It was peaceful and serene there, leaving him to his own thoughts and plenty of time to read the ancient scrolls and texts among the archives. Blith and him had taken an oath to care for the place and welcome anybody in need.
Of course, this sometimes lead to a problem or two, but they hadn't been training for nothing. Mundus always liked seeing the new faces that would happen by, some looking for a place for the night and others just wanting to see the shrine from the inside.
Many were allowed in, just no further than a few rooms past the main hall. The dragons were watchers and protectors, both as kind as could be and gentle in nature. Meditation helped in so many ways. It had been a long time since he first arrived, gratefully taken in and sworn to keep the shrine safe.
The teachings of the holy magic and all the good they could bring seemed to keep the dragon going even more. He hardly knew what year it was now, let alone the day. Of course, he also a saying about that, always giving him a small spring in his step and a smile on his maw.
